A. Teaching Awards

Professor Chang was voted as the 2004-2005 CEM Professor of the Year by Senior & Junior students, Division of Construction Engineering and Management, Purdue University, Spring 2005. Professor Chang was voted as the 2003-2004 CEM Professor of the Year by students of the Beta Tau Construction Honorary, Division of Construction Engineering & Management, Purdue University, Spring 2004.

Professor Chang was voted as Outstanding Professor by students of the Beta Tau Construction Honorary, Division of Construction Engineering & Management, Purdue University, Spring 1993.

Professor Chang received Award of Excellence from Halliburton Education Foundation in recognition of outstanding achievement and professionalism in education, research, and service to students, School of Building Construction, University of Florida, 1985.

B. Alumni Outcomes Assessment

An alumni survey was conducted to assess outcomes of the BSCEM program June-August 2001. The survey was directed to the 153 BSCEM graduates of 1996 through 2000. Among 15 professional practice areas, graduates felt the best prepared (3.9 - 4.0 of 5) for the requirements of their work were the area of Project Planning and Scheduling. Professor Luh Chang has been teaching CE 321 Construction Planning and Scheduling Class from 1989 to 2003. CE321 directly contributed to the best preparation for the requirements of BSCEM graduates’ work from 1996 to 2000.
