BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING (HONS) CHEMICAL The programme, which was introduced in UiTM in May 2000, is offered for duration of four (4) years in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC). The programme consists of 134 credit hours and accredited by Board of Engineer (BEM) Malaysia.

CURRICULUM The curriculum structure is tailored to prepare individuals for broad education consisting chemical engineering fundamentals such as chemical kinetics, thermodynamics and transport processes as well as specific areas including environmental technology, hydrocarbon processing, food technology and industrial biotechnology.

FACILITIES The Faculty of Chemical Engineering offers a wide range of facilities to help the students in their learning and research activities:

specialized laboratories including a double volume pilot plant. These up-

unit operations, chemical reaction, heat transfer, particle technology,

industrial process control instrumentation.

• Computer laboratories are equipped with software such as ICON, ASPEN

PLUS, HYSIS, MATLAB and AutoCAD suitable for teaching and

learning activities.
