A lab visit for practicals of Geotech& Highway engineering was organized by civil engineering department for the faculties on July 7th&8th, 2017.

Details of lab visit are as follows:-

Faculties present: Mr. Sanjay Rachcha, Miss RachanaUpadhyay,Mr.MihirBhavsar.

VENUE: Unique Engineering Testing & Advisory Services. Plot No. 216, Bridge Road 6 F, Opp. Last Overhead Tank, Udhyognagar,Udhna,Surat.

Date : 7th & 8th July 2017

Time : 9.30 am – 5.00 pm

Flow of lab visit was as follows:

Day 1 (07-07-2017)

Permeability of soil. To determine Swelling Pressure. Consolidation of soils. Penetration of Bitumen. Kinematic viscosity of Bitumen. Marshal Stability

Day 2 (08-07-2017)

Softening point of Bitumen. Ductility of Bitumen

Triaxial Shear test. UCS test. Hydrometer test.

The visit ended with positive note and faculties learned more about professional applications regarding practical’s and gained key insights regarding professional working of laboratories.
