Worked with Prof. WMM Jenkins, Department of Periodontics at Glasgow Dental Hospital, Glasgow, United Kingdom and learnt recent techniques of diagnosis and management of periodontal diseases. Also attended lectures delivered by reputed researchers and academicians of U.K. and developed contacts for future training of teaching staff of the department of our institute..

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES.

1. Worked on “Assessment of elimination of Periodontal pockets by non surgical approaches”. Thesis submitted to Lucknow University for award of Master of Dental Surgery degree 1991

2. Following studies are in progress;

A. Oral hygiene status of mentally retarded patients.

B. Assessment of anxiety level in patients suffering from chronic Periodontitis.

C. Clinical evaluation of effects of systemic administration and local application of metronidazole in chronic periodontitis. D. Evaluation of the efficacy of GTR (PLA/PGA.910) in the treatment of human gingival recession.

E. Evaluation of efficacy of DFDBA alone, with doxycycline and with Vicryl membrane in the treatment of human periodontal infra-bony defects.

PARTICIPATION IN EXTENSION AND FIELD OUT REACH ACTIVITIES.

Regularly visiting various school and slum areas of Aligarh, educating the school going children and people regarding significance of Oral hygiene and prevention of periodontal diseases.
