DEPARTMENT BRIEF

QA Strategic Services encompasses the efforts of various teams within Quality Assurance and

Engineering. QA Strategic Services is mainly involved in the following functions:

- Release management

- Regression and Integration testing of applications and services: manual and automated

- Review test cases authored by functional Quality Assurance teams as needed

- Generate QA reports to support decision making and test strategy

- Oversee the integration of our internal and external QA tools to improve QA operations

- Provide overall operational support to all teams within Quality Assurance department

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Become well versed with the usage of internal applications used for Quality Assurance

operations at FactSet

- Understand the SDLC, QA policies, processes and functions at FactSet

- Acquire knowledge of FactSet client facing products

- Develop understanding of client workflow in using FactSet products, and keep abreast with the

latest changes in the products

- Perform regression testing functions for assigned product areas and releases

- Report defects, observations and suspicious behaviors in application tested, by adhering to the

predefined workflow procedures

- Review and analyze automated test results, and report defects in automation test script or

application tested

- Correspond with Software Engineering and Product Development to help with providing

additional information on bugs reported, retesting and signoff on fixes

- Review test plans/cases authored by functional QA analysts to report feedback, and suggestions

for the test plans/cases to conform with Internal Test Plan writing standards at FactSet

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Any gradate with B.Tech (any stream) or B.Sc. Computer Science degree Strong English writing skills Strong verbal communication skills Strong analytical ability Very good documentation skills Good sense of computer applications and end user's perspective Attention to detail Good keyboard skills Quick data interpretation abilities Ability to quickly adapt to different testing projects based on business requirement Passion for sensing/detecting, and explaining anomalies in a product Decent knowledge in finance - understanding in functioning of IBs/IMs can be an added

advantage Knowledge in testing life cycle/ computer programming is an added advantage
