1) The Ministry of the Environment manages the Regional State Administrative Agencies and Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment in issues concerning the Ministry’s own sector. In addition, the Ministry manages Metsähallitus in matters concerning nature conservation. 2) The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry manages the Finnish Environment Institute and Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment in the maintenance of water resources.
