UNO MINDA Earnings Release for Quarter & Year ended March'2015

New Delhi-May 26, 2015- Minda Industries Limited announced its audited financial results for the quarter and year ended 2014-2015.Thecompany recorded standalone revenues of Rs 1,370 Cr for the full year as compared to Rs 1,108 Cr for the full year March 31, 2014, therebyrecording a growth of 24% on corresponding quarter. Consolidated revenues for the full year FY2014-2015 is record Rs 2,227 Cr.as against Rs1,706 Cr posted in FY2013-2014,a significant increase of 31% YOY.

Low Ampere Rocker Switch - An Endeavour of UNO MINDA- Switch Division

UNO MINDA, Switch division has recently developed a Seat Heater Switch for High End Two Wheeler Bikes of BMW.

In European Countries where the temperatures are quite low, in order to maintain the Body temperature during rides, Seat Heating functionis a popular feature in almost every vehicle. The seat heater elements are fitted under a seat cover without detection.

The Switch Division in its first endeavour if this kind has developed a Low Ampere Rocker Switch as shown above.

Go Solar, Go Green - UNO MINDA abides by Government Policies; ensures Green Environment

Recognizing the crucial importance of Renewable Energy, the Government of Haryana has made it mandatory for all buildings on plot size 500square yards or more to install roof top solar power systems by September 2015.

The order applies to all private Bungalows,Group Housing Societies, Building Apartments, Malls, Offices, Shopping Complexes, Schools, Hospitals- infact any building that fits the plot size criteria.

Minda NexGenTech Ltd. (MNGTL), the renewable energy arm of UNO MINDA Group was incorporated in 2011 to provide focus to the Solar &Renewable Energy Business. MNGTL offers Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) services of Grid Connected and Off Grid solar powergeneration projects and a range of products such as Solar LED based Lanterns, Home Lighting, Street Lighting Systems and Solar Pumps.

To abide by the above mentioned law of Haryana Government, MNGTL has successfully commissioned a state-of-the-art 204 kW grid-connected solar power plant at Minda Industries - Lighting & Acoustic Divisions based in Manesar Region.

Upgadation of Tier II by TPM Way

Suppliers play major role in growth of any organization, our group has always been focused towards growth and up-gradation of our suppliers& partners.

To move forward, we have taken an initiative of implementation TPM at Tier-II Supplier in Minda Switch Division ; Pune with support from ouresteemed customer M/s Bajaj Auto Limited.

In the first phase we have shortlisted 09 Nos. of suppliers based on their technology, business volume, product Process criticality & bottleneckto quality & delivery.

Basic Objectives of TPM implementations are:

Flexible to meet changing demands quickly.

High level of process capability and reliability.

To have sense of ownership.

Customer focused approach.

To improve cost effectiveness and retain leadership in it.

In initial phase, 5 Pillars of TPM will be implemented out of 8 Pillars for better understanding of supplier team. This initiative started withtraining of supplier team members in class room as well as Gemba at UNO MINDA Facilities followed by visit of Minda team at supplier plants.

Reviews of TPM Progress at supplier end are being done by Minda Team on regular basis.

Recognition of suppliers' achievements is done by Bronze, Silver & Gold Awards based on selection criteria.

ACMA BUYER SELLER MEET - CAIRO, EGYPT (07th and 08th June 2015)

In line with its endeavour to create a platform for its members in the overseas market, ACMA organised a Buyer Seller meet in Cairo, Egypt onthe 07th and 08th June 2015.

Minda Distribution and Services Ltd (MDSL) participated in the same .

Egypt has a decent population of Indian vehicles, leading brands being Bajaj for 03 and 02 wheelers. Maruti Suzuki and TATA also have apresence in Egypt. The Indian Ambassador to Egypt was the Chief Guest and was accompanied by the officials of the Egyptian Auto ComponentAssociation, counterparts of ACMA. Walk in customers were mainly from the Aftermarket, large importers, whole sellers and retailers.

MDSL intends to do good business in Egypt over the next few years.

UNO MINDA - An undisputed winner of M&M HR Excellence Award

In course of the Supplier Business Capability Building ( SBCB ) initiative of Mahindra & Mahindra, multiple efforts and practices havebeen taken place, in aligning HR strategy with Business Strategy. To acknowledge these efforts, this year onwards Mahindra has introduced the"Mahindra Leadership University - HR Excellence Award" under the Purchasing academy for its suppliers.

An extensive, detailed assessment process was carried out wherein shortlisting was based upon following criteria:

Samarth Jyoti Inaugurates its fifth Centre in Bawal, Haryana

UNO MINDA's CSR wing - Samarth Jyoti, a manifestation of an audacious dream of Smt. Suman Minda inaugurated its fifth centre in villageKarnawas, Bawal District, Haryana

The chief guest for the event was Mr Yash Garg, Deputy Commissioner, Rewari. He enlightened the villagers with his inspiring words andassured them full co-ordination and support.

Samarth Jyoti has 4 existing centers at village Naharpur (Haryana); Pune (Maharashtra) and Pant Nagar (Uttrakhand) & Nawada, Manesar. Thetraining centers provide vocational training in Computer Education and Cutting & Tailoring trade to the youth of the area and also run aBalwadi.
