WHAT YOU’LL NEED

An interactive quiz where the answers are full of colour!

‘Colour Clash’ puts your knowledge to the test, by seeing if you know your reds from your green and your yellow from orange. This activity can be delivered in a number of ways.

KnockKnock the Colour: Print off the 8 colour cards and stick these to bowling pins or water bottles. You’ll need a set for each team. A leader should ask a question and then the teams race to knock over the correct answer(s). The team to knock over the correct answer first wins the point. Teams could kick footballs or throw beanbags from a distance to knock over the skittles. Skittles accidently knocked over by the team can be picked back up.

ShoShow Your Hand: A less active version of the game. Each team should have a set of the colour cards. A leader asks the question and the teams then decide which card(s) they will use to answer it. All at the same time, teams should reveal their answer. Any team with the correct answer gets the point.

Virtual:Virtual: Firstly, ask young people to go and get an item for each of the 8 colours. Young people can then use these items to answer the questions. All players should reveal their answer at the same time. All those with the correct answer get a point.

Make it harder by not telling the group how many colours are needed for each answer or by setting a time limit to add pressure.
