  • Why Need Eyecom MRRU Lampsite /RRUs Bank can be seen anywhere: roof top, building floors, reason: Lampsite or RRU/RRH is Single operator, Lampsite has limited RF power 0.25watt/band RRU/RRH is proprietary to OEM BBU only: Each Operator need one set of RRU for same band, no sharing Market requires a common radio head based on digital technology Conventional Analogue technology destroys 4G performance

A typical multi-band multi-operator RRU/Lampsite site; hundreds Lampsite/RRUs needed in one DAS project

  • Before: RRUs located in every floors, each floors has 4-30xRRUs Now: Full Band MRRU in building floors, 1 x MRRU with built-in POI for each floor RRU/BTS located only in BTS room

    Eyecom Full Band MRRU Application

  • Systems: 700MHz,800MHz,900MHz,1800MHz,

    2100MHz,2300MHz and 2600MHz multi mode

One single enclosure supports 8 bands of GSM,

    CDMA, UMTS, TD-LTE and FD-LTE (SISO/MIMO)

    Distance: 20-40Km

    Rx Diversity: Support as option

    LTE MIMOSupport SISO, 2x2MIMO,4x4 MIMO

    RF Power: 5W/10W/20W/40 W/ Band

    Base Station Hotel: 2G+3G+4G Multi-band

Multi operator Outdoor Digital DAS shared site

All band, all sector RRUs housed in one single BTS shelter

Digital delay control to each MRRU remote unit

Application: Urban sites/IBS, rural shared site,

    railway; road and rail tunnels

  • Current Metro RRU bank:

    High power consumption, multi-

    core fiber needed

    Metro deployed MRRU: lower power

    consumption, single core fiber

    needed

    Eyecom MRRU vs. RRU Bank

  • Dual Band 4x4 MIMO/Quad-band 2x2 MIMO

  • Dual Band 4x4 MIMO/Quad-band 2x2 MIMO

why 4x4 MIMO need Eyecom MRRU:

    1. 4x4 MIMO antenna must close to signal source (RRU, or Eyecom MRRU)

    2. Conventional Ceiling Mount SMALL CELL or RRU Requires Huge space needed

    when operates Multi-operator 2x2 or 4x4 MIMO

    3. Eyecom A single ceiling Mount unit supports all

operator systems at 2x2 MIMO or 4x4 MIMO

  • DIGITAL Optical DAS > dioDAS MRRU

GUI based ORU Spectrum Analyzer Function

  • ADVANTAGES over Analog Optical DAS

DIGITAL Optical DAS > dioDAS MRRU

With Analog Technology, the NF for each added ORU is a Log 10 function, increasing with each ORU. With dioDAS, the NF of one ORU in the System or 256 ORUs is essentially approximately the same 5 dB

The Theoretical Uplink Noise Floor of an LTE BTS is -120 dB. Our dioDAS has an UL Noise Level of -120 dB, an ignorable impact to BTS An Analog Optical System is 10db to 20 dB higher.

With Analog Technology there is interference generated from the DL of the 1800 MHz Band into the UL of the 2100 MHz Band (and potentially between other Bands). With Digital Technology, there is very low interference.

With Analog Technology you cannot backhaul Digital WiFi or Video signals.

With Analog Technology you cannot cascade 36 ORUs

With Analog Technology you cannot control the Delay or have a GUI Spectrum Analyzer

  • ADVANTAGES over Other Digital DAS products

DIGITAL Optical DAS > dioDAS MRRU

Eyecom: Single Enclosure supports 8 bands with built-in POI vs. Others: 8 bands in 4 separated cases+ external POI

Eyecom: 8 bands in 1 single case

with built in POI Output Power at POI output port: 20w/band NF: completed unit figure

Lower PIM: POI and Cable built-in, factory control

Others 8 bands in 8 Separated cases POI external, with additional 3dB loss Output Power: claimed: 20 watt/band, before POI Actual output at POI output port: 10w/band

NF: add POI loss of 3 dB on top of claimed figure PIM difficult to control: POI and jumper installed at site

  • Eyecom vs. Other Digital DAS products:

DIGITAL Optical DAS > dioDAS MRRU

Build-in POI vs. External POI : 1. Inter-connecting cable, PIM control

    2. POI PIM variation, quality control: transportation, installation

    3. Entire Digital DAS RU assembly system PIM control difficulty In factory: full set of PIM tester and low PIM cable assembly

    1. Site installer knowledge of PIM control

    2. PIM tester at site: are their installer really has one?

Problem found: China Tower: external POI causes @10% of Neutral host DAS system having PIM interference problem, Data Rate drop Malaysia: Digi-Maxis-U-Mobile PIM interference, due to DAS PIM, mainly from POI assembly

  • ADVANTAGES over Other Digital DAS products

DIGITAL Optical DAS > dioDAS MRRU

Output RF power from external POI dropped by 3dB: 20watt 10 watt; 40 watt 20 watt

Noise Figure from with external POI increased by 3dB: 3.5dB 6.5dB

Single FPGA boards vs. multiple FPGA boards (one in each unit) Great versatility to re-farming and band re-planning between each of the entire bands

Channelization and CH number easily assigned to band needed vs. fixed CH in each band

    2x2MIMO+4x4 MIMO vs. 2x2 MIMO

1Gb transparent port for CCTV and External Small cell/WiFi services Higher power 45dBm vs. 43dBm and 48dbm vs. 46dBm
