Haag-Streit UK holds successful roadshow for newly-launched AngioVue OCT-A

HS-UK has just completed a very successful roadshow for the newly-launched AngioVue OCT Angiography (OCT-A) system.

Commencing on the 22nd June 2015, the two-week roadshow visited many hospital locations UK-wide. It gave ophthalmologists

and imaging specialists the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the AngioVue in their own clinics, using existing patients. Staff received practical demonstrations along with an in-depth explanation of how to interpret the OCT-A images.

The AngioVue is the first commercial OCT-A system capable of displaying the function of the ocular microvasculature, through a non-invasive procedure. It uses a unique dyeless technique to quickly evaluate the functional blood flow of the retina and optic nerve, allowing the procedure to be repeated as often as required.

Keeler officially opens its new factoryKeeler celebrated the expansion and upgrade of its factory with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Headquartered in Windsor since 1935, Keeler is 99 years old this year. This expansion is a reflection of the company’s ongoing success; in April, Keeler won an award from its parent company for achieving five years of continuous sales growth.

Steve Marriott, Keeler’s Site Services Manager, has been overseeing the expansion project which lasted for several months. Keeler’s managing director invited Steve up during the ceremony to officially cut the ribbon, the last piece of tape.

Abbas Sotoudeh, Keeler’s Managing Director, commented: “I’m often asked if Keeler will move its manufacturing operations elsewhere. The investment we’ve made in expanding and upgrading our manufacturing facilities shows our intent to stay and our dedication to continue business here in Windsor. We have many local residents that have worked with us for years and it’s because of our employees that we have achieved the success that has made the factory remodelling possible.”

Haag-Streit UK launches the Integre Pro Scan in the UKHS-UK is pleased to announce the launch of the Ellex Integre Pro Scan in the UK. It combines multi-colour photocoagulation with pattern scanning in an all-in-one laser and slit lamp design. Unlike other photocoagulator systems, it is designed to channel the laser directly through the slit lamp optics. This results in better visualisation and optimal illumination. In addition, the integrated design minimises system downtime, as there are no exposed fibre-optic or electrical cables.

The system offers a comprehensive array of pattern combinations with size, shape and rotation all fully-customisable. The system’s computer-controlled operation ensures precise pattern spacing and consistent shaping of laser spots for more accurate, consistent treatment results. A number of wavelengths are available, including two dual-wavelength configurations.
