Music Art

• Learn the elements of music and how music is constructed.

• Learn how to look at and critique works of art.

• Listen to music from wide variety of time, periods, cultures and styles.

• Do several studio projects that reinforce objectives.

• Build active listening skills • Build critical thinking skills.

• Study the evolution of music in society.

• Study how art influences and is influenced by culture.

• The goal of this class is to develop visual literacy – sharpening powers of observation, developing skills and habits of perceptive watching and discovering complex elements of film art.
