Ralekoala, who is the assistant director of road safety and capacity building in the Free State’s Depart- ment of Police, Roads and Transport, said alcohol at any level would impair motorists’ ability to drive. He spoke to Express during the launch of the Health and Safety For All Campaign held at the Shell Ultra City Pitstop in Bloemfontein on Friday. The annual campaign, which is organised by the Life-Rosepark Hospital and Shell Ultra City Pitstop Bloemfontein – in partner- ship with the Free State Department of Health and the Department of Police, Roads and Transport – is aimed at encouraging responsible drinking over the Christmas holidays. “When it comes to drinking and driving, our advice is pretty simple: It is just not worth it. Don’t put lives at risk. The best approach is to have no alcohol at all if you are going to be driving. Prevention is better than cure,’’ Ralekoala told Express. “We would also like to appeal to pedestrians not to drink and walk on our roads. Drunken driving and walking on our roads while under the influence is not only dangerous to you, but to other road users as well.” Ralekoala said traffic officers and the police would be conducting road blocks on major roads in the province during the festive season. “There will be many officers out on the roads doing breath tests and ensuring people are thinking about the dangers of drunk driving. We want to make our roads safer and save lives. “If you drink and drive, then there is a strong chance that you will be caught and prosecuted.” Hein Rossouw, Life- Rosepark Hospital manager, said the primary objective of their campaign was to promote realistic awareness among motorists and travellers in the province on health, emergency and security services. “It is very important at this time of the year to look after our motorists. We need to make sure that they are safe when travelling through our province. They should know that they are safe when they drive in our region,” said Rossouw. Meanwhile, Herman Steyn, owner of Shell Ultra City Bloemfontein, said he was proud to be involved in this initiative. “We appeal to all road users to drive carefully and not drink and drive, so that they can reach their destinations alive,” Steyn said. ) For more stories, log onto www.express- news.co.za. ‘It is just not worth it’ Stern warning for drunk drivers EXPRESS MANGAUNG would like to thank all its readers and advertisers for sharing 2014 with the newspaper. I HAVE learned a great lessonfrom a gardener friend: someplants are annuals, which meansthey bloom yearly, only once, while others are perennials – theylast beyond a year, producingseveral or many blooms. It is important to know the

difference. If you spend a greatdeal of time and energy trying toget an annual plant to live beyondits life-span, you will likely bevery frustrated and disappointed.Know what you are dealing with. Some projects, some results,

some jobs and relationships arefor the short-term of your life.Others are for longer “seasons”and some are even for eternity.Overall, life tends to have

“seasons”. Evaluate which oneyou may be in now and recognisethat all seasons have a purpose.Winter is the time to reflect by

the fire-place, rest and allow yourbody to be restored and yourmind and emotions to be healed.Do not allow yourself to be

discouraged. Do not let “greydays” overwhelm you.Do not focus on what was in the

past, and do not daydream toomuch about the spring ahead.

Eventually, the winter ends.Maybe you have lost your job,

someone you love, your house oryour car due to an accident –know that this season is tempo-rary.Spring is a season of renewal

and growth. New things begin andthis is a time for new ventures. It is not enough just to plan a

garden, you must actually plant agarden if you want vegetables orflowers.Consult with others who are

experiencing the kind of harvestyou one day hope to experience.Discover how they began their

career or ministry. Take advan-tage of their wisdom and learnfrom them about what works andwhat does not. Then take the first steps

necessary for turning your dreams

into reality.Summer days can seem long and

hot, but this is necessary forcultivating and irrigating. The work can seem tedious at

times, the good that you know todo. Hang in there until the projectis complete. If you are a parent, you may

have to remind yourself to bepatient until your child movesthrough a particular phase of hisor her life.If you are in the middle of a

campaign or long-term pro-gramme, persevere in maintainingyour momentum and in doingwhat you know is right beforeGod.The harvest does eventually

come in autumn. It is the time forrejoicing in your fruitfulness, forreaping rewards and for sharing

God’s goodness with family andfriends.Maybe in this year you got what

your heart desired – your dreamjob, the chance to buy a dreamhouse or car, the opportunity tomarry someone you had dreamedabout, or maybe you completedyour degree. The external “seasons” of our

lives are more obvious than theinternal ones. As a part ofidentifying the seasons of life, keep this principle in mind: Allsituations are temporary, life is aprocess. Do not become discour-

aged with the season you are in.Do not take for granted the seasonyou are sovereignly assigned to.Learn to enjoy the beauty of eachmoment.Trust God to bring your life to a

“happy ending”.May God open doors of happi-

ness and prosperity in 2015.God bless, until we continue

together on the path in 2015.) Contribute to this column bysending your piece, of no morethan 500 words, to [email protected], orcall 051-404-7910.

TESTIMONYMr and Mrs Thabo

My last resort to bring backmy lost lover.

Me and my wife Bridget had givenup after losing my job and strugglingto keep up with my car and house

payment. I had to change schools formy children from private schools to

government schools because financially we were not stableanymore, but thanks to my in-law who gave me this woman ofGod's number, she helped me to turn my life around financially

by giving me a magic ring which brought back hope into mylife. It cost me only R800 and for the first time in my life I went

into a casino with my wife and we used our magic to hit ajackpot. Now my house and car are paid off and my childrenare back in private schools - now life is so wonderful, so in

case you are looking for the best healer, please look no more.

Just CALL MAMA DAVID 079 753 2854.She can also help men with sexual enlargement to all sizes.

My dearest friends and fellow Africans, do notwaste time and money to take spiritualists whopromise and don’t deliver. I guarantee you. TheGreat Papa Magi will never disappoint you. Onlyone visit to him and you will live smiling. I amOMIE SINGH, a resident of Pietermaritzburg, after I saw an article in the paper saying that TheGreat Papa Magi charges only R200. I believed inhim, I booked an appointment and met with him

at his beautiful temple. In Bloemfontein at Waverley next to spar. Before I met him, I was struggling financially and I could not stay inrelationships, whoever came in my life, and then something happened and mygirlfriend left me. It was like a bad omen on me, but after I saw The Great PapaMagi, he touched my forehead and palms, and prayed for me and told me towait for seven days. In just 3 days, my girlfriend requested us to meet with herat their home. On arrival, she knelt down and told me she was ready to be mywife. We made a great wedding and are happy now. The Great Papa Magi isthe right person to solve our society problems. You can find him atWaverleyBloemfontein next to Spar. Thanks to him again.

Things in my life wentfrom good to worse in avery short time. My lovelive, financial problemsjealousy, my husband’s

family were all against me.Luckily I came acrossSonia through a friend. She helped me and

showed me my enemiesthrough a mirror for only R200. She did miracles in my life. She told me all my problems without mentioning anythingto her. She showed me the people who worked hard tosee me suffering some of which were my friends and

relatives. She performed a special prayer, washed awaymy bad luck and cleansed my home. Gave me a lovepotion with a ring for my financial problems in less thanfive days, my husband was always by my side and my

enemies confessed and asked for forgiveness. Come andvisit me at Bayswater.
