WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
REFLECTION AND PREPARATION
“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. Incline your ear, and come to me.”-Isaiah 55:1-3a
“When the sun goes behind the cloud, it is no less near than when its rays are felt.” -Donald Whitney *CALL TO WORSHIP | Psalm 104:1-2, 31, 33, 35b(Leader) Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty, covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent.(All) May the glory of the LORD endure forever; may the LORD rejoice in his works.(Leader) I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being.(All) Bless the LORD, O my soul! *PRAYER OF ADORATION
CORPORATE CONFESSION
Let us pray:
Eternal and merciful God, you have loved us with a love beyond our understanding, and you have set us on paths of righteousness for your name’s sake. Yet we have strayed from your way; we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, through what we have done and what we have left undone. You have called us to be holy as you are holy, but we have broken your law. You have called us to turn from our former ways of living, but we frequently return to our sins. You have called us to take up our cross and follow you, but we continue to follow the world and our flesh. Father, forgive us. As we remember the lavish gift of your grace, we praise you and give you thanks that you forgive us yet again. Grant us now, we pray, the grace to die daily to sin, and to rise daily to new life in Christ, who lives and reigns with you, and in whose strong name we now silently confess our personal sins...
SILENT CONFESSION
ASSURANCE OF PARDON | Galatians 4:4-7
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.

*SONG OF RENEWAL | His Mercies We Proclaim Kevin Browne | Parker Adams
Though we are but made of dust, fashioned from the clayHe bore our iniquities and for our souls he prayedThough he was despised and shamed and suffered agonyJesus bore our grief and sin as he hung upon the tree
Though we once were alien, God did intercedeHigh and lifted up was Christ and in our place did bleedReconciled now through his blood, death he overcameFull atonement now have we, by his Holy Name
Though we cannot see always, our sins he does effaceFor the Lamb of God is he, full of truth and graceReconciled now through his blood, Lord of Peace his nameRuler of the universe, his mercies we proclaim
His mercies we proclaim
*SONG OF RENEWAL | Jesus, I Come William Sleeper | Greg Thompson, 2000
Out of my bondage, sorrow and night, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come.Into thy freedom, gladness, and light, Jesus, I come to thee.Out of my sickness into thy health, out of my wanting and into thy wealth,Out of my sin and into thy self, Jesus, I come to thee.
Out of my shameful failure and loss, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come.Into the glorious gain of thy cross, Jesus, I come to thee.Out of earth’s sorrows into thy balm, out of life’s storms and into thy calm,Out of distress into jubilant psalm, Jesus, I come to thee.
Out of unrest and arrogant pride, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come.Into thy blessed will to abide, Jesus, I come to thee.Out of myself to dwell in thy love, out of despair into raptures aboveUpward forever on wings like a dove, Jesus, I come to thee.
Out of the fear and dread of the tomb, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come.Into the joy and light of thy home, Jesus, I come to thee.Out of the depths of ruin untold, into the peace of thy sheltering fold,Ever thy glorious face to behold Jesus, I come to thee.

PRAYER FOR THE CHURCH AND THE WORLD Elder Chris Griffith
*SONG OF FAITH | Arise, My Soul Arise Charles Wesley | Kevin Twit, 1996
Arise, my soul, arise, shake off your guilty fears; The bleeding sacrifice, on my behalf appears; Before the throne my Surety stands, before the throne my Surety stands, My name is written on his hands.
Chorus: Arise (arise), arise (arise), arise. Arise, my soul, arise. Arise (arise), arise (arise), arise. Arise, my soul, arise. Shake off your guilty fears and rise
He ever lives above, for me to intercede; His all redeeming love, his precious blood, to plead; His blood atoned for every race, his blood atoned for every race, And sprinkles now the throne of grace. (Chorus)
Five bleeding wounds he bears; received on Calvary; They pour effectual prayers; they strongly plead for me: “Forgive him, O forgive,” they cry, “Forgive him, O forgive,” they cry, “Don’t let that ransomed sinner die!” (Chorus)
My God is reconciled; his pardoning voice I hear;He owns me for his child; I can no longer fear With confidence I now draw nigh, with confidence I now draw nigh, And “Father, Abba, Father,” cry. (Chorus)

THE LORD’S SUPPER | See comments below We come forward by row to receive the elements. Wine is found in red cups (outer ring), grape juice in clear cups (inside rings). Gluten free wafers are available in both serving lines. If you are unable to come forward, please notify the server walking around with the elements. You are welcome to participate in the Lord’s Supper if you are a baptized Christian and a member of an evangelical church. If this does not describe you, we encourage you to spend this time in prayer to consider your relationship to Jesus Christ. We also ask that children who have not yet publicly professed their faith in Christ, refrain from partaking until doing so. The Lord’s Supper is a time for our faith to be strengthened and our hope renewed.
O That I Had a Thousand Voices Johann Mentzer, 1704 | Parker Adams
Oh, that I had a thousand voices to praise my God with thousand tongues! My heart, which in the Lord rejoices, would then proclaim in grateful songs,To all, wherever I might be, what great things God hath done for me.
O all you powers that he implanted, arise, and silence keep no more;Put forth the strength that he hath granted! Your noblest work is to adore.O soul and body, be ye meet with heartfelt praise your Lord to greet!
All creatures that have breath and motion, that throng the earth, the sea and sky,Now join, me in my heart’s devotion, help me to raise his praises high.My utmost powers can ne’er aright declare the wonders of his might.
O Father, deign thou, I beseech thee, to listen to my earthly lays;A nobler strain in heav’n shall reach thee, when I with angels hymn thy praise,And learn amid their choirs to sing, loud hallelujahs to my King.
