Considered by many travel experts as the place where the rich and famous usually hangout, this is one of

the many names Marbella in Spain is known for. Situated in Costa del Sol, Marbella is not as glamorous as

it is now. This town is only a small fishing village before. But thanks to its stunning coastal scenery and

pristine sandy stretches, the once a small fishing village is now a popular destination in the world.

Nowadays, Marbella is packed with high-class restaurants, luxury fashion shops and world class beach

resorts to offer tourists a luxury vacation they deserve.

Marbella features a coastline that extends roughly around 27kms. And is decorated with twenty four

beaches. A few of these beaches have received the prestigious “Blue Flag”, which is only given to those

beaches and marinas that passed the high standards of FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education).

Majority of them have basic amenities such as showers, lifeguards, sun loungers and public toilets.

On the eastern coast of Marbella you will find the popular sandy beaches such as Playa de la Fontanilla

and Playa Alicate. Local residents distinguish the beaches depends on the beach club or bar that can be

found there. If you are into luxury beach club service and fine dining, Niki and Sala Beach is the perfect

place for you.

But aside from class and glamour it offers, Marbella is more to it than that. It also preserved its old

quarter, with Moorish and Andalusian architecture is very established. You will definitely amaze by the

cobbled streets, old houses with romantic balconies and small plazas as you wander around town,

something that you won’t see often in some popular tourist destination. One of the most frequently

visited and popular square in Old Town is the Plaza de los Naranjos. With ts striking appearance and some

pretty orange trees that adorn the whole plaza, it will be surely a delight to walk around it. While you’re

at it, you can also stop by at the tourist office and 16th century town for more historical information.

You will certainly don’t run out of activities to do in Marbella. You can rent a car and travel around its

stunning coastal path. Or you may want to join some organized tours and safari expeditions if you want a

little adventure. Chartering a yacht to explore what Marbella’s sea has to offer is also a great option. And

of course, the beaches is all yours if you just want a serene and relaxing vacation.

If you are into golf, you can hone your skills and challenge someone at the town’s high class courses

which some are even designed by the best golfers in the world. There are 40 golf courses scattered

around Costa del Sol region, you will certainly love one of them. For those who love outdoor adventure

such as hiking, the Golden Mile is worth looking into. This walking stretch is approximately four miles and

connects Puerto Banus and Marbella. While doing the golden Mile, you will witnessed some of the

upscale houses and mansions in Marbella.

As for dining, you will be in for a treat especially if you have allocated an ample amount of budget for it.

The food are very exquisite and delectable and while you’re at it, enjoy the view of the sea with a cool

breeze fanning your face. You will certainly never forget dining in one of Marbella’s Michelin-starred

restaurants. To have a sufficient budget to taste the fine food and enjoy the beaches and other activities,

stay in an owners direct in Spain. This will save you a lot of money as compared in staying in a luxury hotel

or villa.
