Explore the world of new technologies and get to know the tech for good community

The potential of making positive impact with technol-ogy goes as far as an innovator’s mind can reach. How-ever, technology isn’t always available to those who strive to make that impact. The third sector - NGOs, not-for-profit institutions and social changers - are often deprived from access to modern ICTs and solu-tions that are key to improving their daily operations.
Sektor 3.0 was initiated with the mission to facilitate that access and enable tech for good. It connects startups, innovators, activists and everyone interested in using technology to address social challenges. Sektor 3.0 is the leading program of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation, implemented by the Information Society Development Foundation.

„Thanks to such conferences, we can better understand what happens during a digital revo-lution. It changes everything around.
In 2018, Sektor 3.0 has been recognized by the European Commission in the European Digital Skills Awards contest in “enabling digital skills for all” category. The competition recognizes best practices in raising digital skills to enable citizens to be active in our digital society.
264 projects from the EU countries competed for 5 awards in five different categories. Sektor 3.0 was among the shortlisted finalists: “24 exceptional projects and initiatives that help Europeans improve their digital skills.”
The European Digital Skills Awards are organised with the support of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition to recognise successful and scalable initiatives that have improved the digital skills of Europeans at school, at work, for ICT specialists, for girls and women and in society in general.
