Explore the Culture of Colorado

Often people associate Colorado with a sense of ruggedness, something leftover from pioneer

days. The picture the mountains, ski trails, hiking trails, and parks. Others think of popular

sports teams like the Broncos in football, Rockies in baseball, Nuggets in basketball, and

Avalanche in hockey. Although Colorado residents enjoy their sporting events and getting out

and interacting with nature, there are also plenty of things to do in Colorado for those whose

interests may be a bit more on the laid back side of things.

For many, thinking of fun things to do in Denver means walking though an art museum, taking a

look around at one of the art or music festivals in the community. These festivals give residents

and visitors the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors while listening to music, soaking up

some Shakespeare, or witnessing the grace of professional dancers.

To explore music further while inside, many will attend the symphony. To add more theatrics,

they might take on a local opera, a theatrical production, or even the ballet. In various times of

the year there are various film festivals that bring a unique perspective to the state and to the

world.

Experiencing the beauty of an area can be most satisfying for those who get a little sand in their

shoes. Many love to just look around as they ride through Denver's bike trails, or try their hand

on one of Denver's golf courses that is a great way to experience the beauty of the state and get

in touch with the history.

Other fun things to do in Denver, and in the rest of Colorado include winery and brewery tours,

or even stopping for dinner in a fine restaurant. Of course a day in Colorado doesn't have to be

limited to a specific interest. A person may want to enjoy a short hike in the morning, nine holes

of golf in the afternoon, tour a brewery and test a few of the local favorites, before getting

dressed up for the symphony.

Colorado culture means a little something different to everyone, But each specific person is sure

to find something exciting and memorable things to do in Colorado whether they're in the state

every day, or are making it an escape from somewhere else. They just soak up as much as they

can, and if they miss something, they can always go back. Visit www.coloradosymphony.org
