If your child is entering grades 4 - 7 and attends the Exploration Day Camp at either site, the CEC offers the ZONE: special experiences designed for older children every Friday. Each week, children will go on an adventure that takes them all over Los Angeles. Field trips range from cultural experiences like Olvera Street and Little Tokyo to activities like rock climbing and indoor trampoline parks. Children may also bring their own spending money for souvenirs and special snacks. In addition to all the fun, these field trips and events offer older children increased independence, responsibility, and adventures.
All trips take place on Fridays and may be subject to change. Children should wear comfortable shoes and bring a sack lunch. Additional details will be available.
