For the growth in the mining sector for a
developing economy like India, mineral
exploration techniques involving geology,
geophysics and geochemistry have become
the need of the hour. As the depth of
availability of the ore deposit has drastically
increased novel exploration techniques are to
be adopted. For the unexplored mineral
resources apart from conventional exploration
techniques, strategic planning is essential.
A multi-stage exploration and integration of
methods and data can increase the probability
of resource location and reduce the effort to
reveal the sub surface concealed bodies.
Advances in geoscience techniques for
deciphering exploration techniques and for
managing sustainable resources have thus
identified the gaps towards developing future
technologies in geosciences.
