Background PT GMT Indonesia (GMT) is a full services geological and mining consulting group, exploration / project development and project management company, domiciled in Jakarta at Talavera Suite 18th Floor, Talavera Office Park, Jl TB Simatupang Kav. 22-26’ Cilandak Barat, Jakarta 12430 and with an operations office at Jl. H. Mandior No 23, Cilandak Barat, 12430, Jakarta Selatan, Indonesia. GMT services domestic and international mining and exploration companies from its base in Indonesia.

GMT was founded in 2001 by its’ President Director, Brett D. Gunter, an Australian geologist, long-term resident in Indonesia, together with his Indonesian partner Krisjna Alimoeddin, Vice-President of the company. From the outset, they dedicated themselves to offering the highest level of geological expertise and exploration capability to Indonesia’s mineral exploration sector.

From its’ inception, the founders of GMT sought to create a unique synergy between the best of Indonesia’s diverse pool of geological talent and an innovative, yet down-to-earth Australian perspective - coupled with the consistency and “no-compromise” management discipline necessary to maintain the highest level of professional and ethical standards.

Importantly, GMT senior personnel are qualified to be classified as Competent Persons/Qualified Persons under international systems of reporting of mineral resources and mining reserves, such as the JORC Code (2004) and NI 43-101 reporting systems.

Personnel The senior personnel of GMT include a range of professionals in a number of related mining disciplines and a wide range of contacts throughout the industry to provide the most qualified solutions to mining project exploration, development and operations. The key personnel include the following.

Principal Geological Consultant: Brett Gunter

After completing a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geology) in 1988 from the University of Technology (Sydney), Mr Gunter has spent more than 25 years within the mining industry as a geologist, with 20 years of that spent in Indonesia. He has been involved in a wide range of aspects of exploration and mining geology, having spent time working in base metal and gold

mines world-wide, including senior mine management positions. He is thoroughly experienced in applying geological knowledge from grass roots exploration to mining. During his career, he has been involved in a large number of resource estimations, feasibility studies, due diligence studies and reviews on mineral and bulk commodity properties, including coal, iron ore, bauxite, nickel laterite, gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, tungsten, tin and manganese.

Mr Gunter is a current member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and is a Competent Person for reporting of a number of commodities, including coal, nickel laterite, gold, silver, residual and placer deposits, base metals and manganese. He is also a member of the Society of Economic Geologists.

Principal Mining Consultant: Roger Pooley

Mr. Pooley has over forty years’ experience in the mining industry. Mr Pooley is a Mining Engineer, graduating from the Royal School of Mines, London. He is a standing Fellow of the AusIMM, a Chartered Professional Engineer (MMICA) and holds a Quarry Manager’s Certificate of Competency (WA).

He has worked in Australia, Ghana, UK, Iran and Indonesia. For the first half of his career, Roger worked in operations, in both line management and staff positions. Following this, he moved into project management for twelve years. For the past twentyfour years as a consultant, he has been involved mainly in studies, valuations, reserves estimates, and appraisals. The latter part of his experience has been mainly in Indonesia, although in that time he has also completed assignments in Australia, the Philippines, Cameroon, Brazil, Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam. Roger has worked on open pit, underground, and alluvial properties in gold, coal, base metals and non-metallics. This wide experience, together with his expertise in economics, helps him to competently assess a variety of solutions to mining, treatment, logistical and environmental problems.

Consultant: Krisjna Alimoeddin

Mr Alimoeddin is an Indonesian national geologist with more than 25 years experience within the Indonesian mining industry, which includes exploration and development in a range of commodities. He advises the group on specific statutory issues and has maintained positions concentrating on government and community liaison. He holds positions of Commissioner and Director in a number of Indonesian mining and service companies.

Consultant: Sahat Simanjuntak

Mr Simanjuntak has more than 35 years experience in minerals exploration and metalliferous mining, including 30 years with the Indonesian Directorate of Mineral Resources (Metalliferous Minerals Sub Division, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bandung). He has been engaged in a number of international cooperation exploration ventures from France (BRGM) and Korea (Koica/Kigam) in various areas of Indonesia.

In addition to the above senior personnel, GMT has available a staff of professional geologists with a range of knowledge and experience across all mineral types, dominantly focussing in Indonesia and, in addition, a wide network of international professionals ready to advise on exploration and mining projects globally.

Control and coordinate all aspects of the geological consulting group including client coordination, financial control, HRD, OHS&T and environmental control on all PT GMT Indonesia activities. April 2003 – December 2004: Project Manager, PT Indo Muro Kencana, Mount Muro Gold Mine, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. Ensuring the daily operations at the Mount Muro Gold Mine was carried out according to regulations and other statutory operating codes from the Indonesian government, including environmental performance, occupational health and safety and mine regulations. Liaise with various government departments in relation to the above matters. Supervising the operations of all departments with respect to the timely and cost effective provision of supplies and services. This includes the implementation and monitoring of budgets, personnel scheduling, logistics, supply, data acquisition and storage, communications and administration systems. Supervise the implementation of strategies to ensure the project perception continued to be positive from the viewpoint of all stakeholders and maintain the security of the project with respect to all stakeholders. Maintain a system of reporting and communications with corporate management to ensure corporate / project goals were being maintained and achieved. Exploration / project target generation, ranking and classification. Interpretation of geological data to guide future exploration. Compilation, reporting and communicating geological data to other management. Designing and implementing cost effective exploration and development programmes within the project area. The project covered over 3,000,000 hectares of 6th Generation CoW with 6 separate prospects taken to the drilling stage. The geological team, at the peak of activity, comprised over 40 geologists and up to 300 field personnel stretched over 5-6 project and reconnaissance areas. Position made redundant with the closure of all Indonesian projects by Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. Major achievements included leading the discovery team on the Seruyung high sulphidation prospect (+300,000 ounces Au), a green fields discovery close to the Sebuku River. Work programmes included mapping, geochemical surveys, trenching programmes and drilling. Direct field supervision was maintained in all aspects of this programme from discovery to finalisation of the programme. January 1994 – December 1995: Mine Manager, Warroo Gold Mine, Queensland. Statutary mine manager of a 300,000 tonne heap leach gold mine utilising Merril-Crowe processing technology. Production supervision, metallurgical management, production reporting and budgeting, in-house feasibility study on expanding operations on remnant resources, exploration project generation and acquisition.
