Department of Civil Engineering, GHRAET Nagpur had organized a guest lecture on

“Geographical Information System (G.I.S.) and Global Positioning System (G.P.S.)” on 15/09/2012.

As being the current trends in surveying as well as civil engineering are very important areas of study.




Students from fifth semester actively attended the Guest Lecture. In all 55 students attended the

lecture.

Mr.Premvijay D. Lighten the various issues of the topic and students too interacted in high

spirit with the speaker. Prof. Anshul Nikhade, Prof. Gitadevi Bhaskar, Prof. Laxmikant vairagade,

Prof. Minal Mude, attended the guest lecture. Prof. A.Nikhade, HOD, Prof. L.Vairagade took efforts

Techniques in Surveying at GHRAET, Nagpur

Department of Civil Engineering, GHRAET Nagpur had recently organized a guest

lecture on “Advanced Techniques in Surveying”. As being the current trends in surveying as

well as civil engineering are very important areas of study. Students from 4th

semester actively attended the Guest Lecture. In all 250 students attended the lecture.

Mr.Sandeep Shrikhedkar enlightened the various issues of the topic and students too

interacted in high spirit with the speaker. All the faculties of department attended the guest

lecture. Prof. A.Nikhade, (HOD civil Dept.), Prof. Laxmikant Vairagade & Prof.V.M.Bhedi

on “Engineering Geology” on 21/08/2015 by Dr.R.K.Bopche (Professor, KITS Ramtek). He

covered various topics within a syllabus like numerical and Geological Investigations as well




as Advanced topics of the subject Engineering Geology. Students from third semester

actively attended the Expert Lecture. In all 55 students attended the lecture.

“Instruments of Hydrology” on 22/08/2015 by Er. N.Z. Baiswarey (Executive Engineering,

Hydrology Project Division). He has acted as Hydrology Expert in Syllabus Revision of RTMNU




Nagpur University with effect from academic session 15-16. Students from fifth semester actively

attended the Guest Lecture. In all 100 students attended the lecture.

Er. N.Z. Baiswarey discussed the Importance, Working and Recording of various

instruments used by Hydrological and meteorological departments to measure different parameters of

the Climate and Nature students too interacted in high spirit with the speaker. Prof.L.N.Vairagade,

Construction, and Working Methodology of Ready Mix Concrete, students too interacted in high

22/08/2015 and 27/08/2015. The speaker on the occasion was Prof. Prasad Dahale, Asst. Professor,

RCOEM, Nagpur. He spoke on the topic ‘Ground Water Improvement’ which is included in the




subject “Geotechnical Engineering-II”. Students from fifth semester actively attended the Expert

Lecture. In all 65 students attended the lecture.

After the session students interacted in high spirit with the speaker. Along with students Prof.

Tushar Babaria, Prof. G.B Bhaskar and Prof.Sonali Gadpalliwar attended the lecture. Prof.

Dr. Bhushan Ambade and Students of 7th Semester Civil Engg.

Department of Civil Engineering, GHRAET Nagpur had organized an expert lecture on “Air

Pollution and Solid Waste Management” on 04/09/2015 by Dr. Bhushan Ambade (Asst. Professor,

Govt. Polytechnic Nagpur, Nagpur). He covered various topics such as causes and prevention




measures of air pollution, management of solid waste, advanced topics of the subject AP&SWM.

Students from seventh semester actively attended the Expert Lecture.

During interactive session Dr. Bhushan Ambade cleared the doubts of the students. Prof.

Ashfak Khan, Prof. Rashmi Ghinmine, Prof. Sandeep Harinkhede attended the expert lecture. Prof.

Civil Engineering Department has recently organized Guest Lecture by Prof. Sumant Tekade

MBA- HOD S. B. Jain Institute of Management & Corporate Trainer on “Chasing

Excellence: The Shivijian Way” on 27/02/2016. He gave guidance to the Civil Engineering

students about Chasing Excellence in every field; he explained how actually the Shivaji




Maharaj conquered the various Forts by his bravery and efforts in his younger age. Students
