Background.

So far, Hanacaraka script has only four styles in its writing. The most famous one is Surakarta styles that writen very classy and it is not simple, and even hard to be written. Then, that style is commonly used in many books, internet and printings. Meanwhile, the another styles is just used in few business, just like street sign, some Javanese-learning book (Pepak) etc. Those are Jogjakarta style, Mbata Sarimbag, and Ngetumbar.

This experimental Hanacaraka is created to promote the another style of this writing system. The style we got to promote here is inspired by Ngetumbar style. We added some modernization in every letters that existed. Let’s check it out!

Row One

The arranging of this Javanese Script formed a poem and even a perfect pangram. First row is Hanacaraka which that means There were Two Messengers.

Once upon the time in the Majethi island, there were a knight, named Ajisaka and his two trustworthy messengers. Ajisaka was so smart and powerful. Someday, He would have a long journey out of the island. He left his secred arms in the island with his first messenger as its keeper. Ajisaka and his second messenger went away from the island. They found a poor kingdom with its very greedy king. Ajisaka defeated that greedy king and been the new king for the kingdom. After that, He commanded his second messenger to take the secred arms back. So, the second messenger went back to the island.

Row Two

Second Row is Datasawala. Datasawala means They had animosity among each other. In this case, word ‘They’ refers to the two messengers.

DTSWLThe second messenger arrived to the island, met the first messenger who kept the secred arms and told everything. The second messenger asked the first messenger to give back the secred arms to Ajisaka. But, the first messenger didn’t believe it. So, the conflict between trustworthy messenger begun. They started to hate each other and disbelieve. The fight between them would be so big as their power they had.

Row Three

Third Row is telling us about the peak of conflict between those two messenger. It is Padhajayanya which means They are equally powerful in fight.

They were not ordinary human, they were very powerful. They started fight among each other. The fight between them was so sharp. The first and second messenger were equally powerful in fight. They fought till their own destination reached.

Row Four

The Row four of Hanacaraka writing system tells us about the ending of the fight between those powerful messenger. Magabathanga it self means Here are the Corpes.

There was no one win or lose. As they were equally powerful, the fight between them would not stop until the death. Finally, they were passed away all together.

After knowing about the condition of his messengers, Ajisaka felt upset. Later, he created this writing system to respect his two trustworthy messengers.
