Experience Fascinating Moments at ZEISS!Program
24 May 2014 9.00 AM – 5.00 PMCarl-Zeiss-Promenade 10, Jena, Germany
2014 marks the 125th anniversary of the Carl Zeiss Foundation which will be celebrated by its two member companies SCHOTT and ZEISS. We believe this is a great opportunity to hold another Open House at ZEISS in Jena in order to celebrate with all employees and the public.
The Carl Zeiss Foundation was founded on 19 May 1889 through a Foundation deed which was drawn up by Prof. Dr. Ernst Abbe personally. Abbe wished to honor the services of the man who laid the first foundations of the SCHOTT and ZEISS companies and made lasting contributions to the combination of science and technology. The Foundation maintains the objective of economically safeguarding both Foundation companies, fulfilling social responsibility to employees and promoting scientific and mathematical knowledge in research and teaching. The Open House also expresses the sustainable success of the Carl Zeiss Foundation and the social commitment of ZEISS.
All ZEISS business groups, production, research and technology and other central divisions will present themselves; as will partners and associations that are linked with us through joint projects.
Through the Open House, we give all interested parties an insight into a modern Foundation company.
We look forward to your visit.
Dr. Michael Kaschke President and CEO Carl Zeiss AG
