WHO IS RODA GIGANTE?
“Roda Gigante is a group of 10 clown artists and one physician that develops an ongoing
research about the clown work and its possibilities to intervene in the society,
promoting meetings that produce health.”
WHAT THEY DO?
FOUR FRONTS OF WORK...
1.ARTISTIC INTERVENTIONS AT HOSPITALS;
2. CLOWN WORKSHOPS FOR THE YOUTH;
3. A PLAY AND A MUSICAL SHOW;
4. WORKSHOPS FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS.
THE CLOWNThe clown’s
intervention directs to the individual.
The clown exists from the
relationship with the other.
The clown put his skills available as a resource to
build a ludic space.
The background is the bond and complicity
established during the scenic game.
The clown seeks for perception enhancement,
for changing attitudes...
… and for promoting a new vision to the care relations inside the hospital.
The clown becomes “doctor” in the art of relating to people.
