Inner thigh Stretch Standing inner thigh From a standing position take a big step to the side and lower the hips bending one leg and straightening the other keep the flexed knee over the ankle and the opposite foot at an angle. Feel the stretch in the inner thigh. Seated inner thigh From a seated position bring the heels of both feet together, grabbing hold of both ankles and keeping the back straight back lower the knees towards the floor. The arms can be used to apply gentle pressure the inner thigh, whilst holding on to the feet, on to increase the depth of stretch.

Exercises – Mobility and stretches lower body These exercises can be used to increase flexibility in the lower body and torso area.

Inner thigh Stretch

Standing  inner  thigh-­‐  From  a  standing  position  take  a  big  step  to  the  side  and  lower  the  hips  bending  one  leg  and  straightening  the  other  keep  the  flexed  knee  over  the  ankle  and  the  opposite  foot  at  an  angle.  Feel  the  stretch  in  the  inner  thigh.                                      

 

 Seated  inner  thigh  –    From  a  seated  position  bring  the  heels  of  both  feet  together,  grabbing  hold  of  both  ankles  and  keeping  the  back  straight  back  lower  the  knees  towards  the  floor.      The  arms  can  be  used  to  apply  gentle  pressure  the  inner  thigh,  whilst  holding  on  to  the  feet,  on  to  increase  the  depth  of  stretch.
