Project Overview

• Create a peripheral for gaming systems that requires exercise to function

• Requires peddling or stepping type motion for the controller to work

• Doesn’t disconnect controller from system

• Has to be useable in the sitting position

Project Background

• Parents cannot motivate their kids to exercise

• Kids willing to game but not exercise

• Some of the kids have disabilities that make it difficult to exercise

• Started work on initial prototypes

• Researched ps2 controller circuitry

• Meet with Tech Transfer

• Order equipment to build first functional prototype

• Circuit testing and design

• Analyzing the circuitry of other consoles

• Finish functional prototype by end of January

• Test effectiveness of machine by measuring calorie burn
