Austin Carlson Carlson 1Speed Car ReflectionI chose this exemplar because it helped further my experience into the field of engineering and I believe I did very well for my first time doing this type of project. Over a marking period we learned the engineering process through multiple Power Points and how to use CAD technology with multiple trips to the computer lab. We were assigned to design a car that would go as fast as possible and we ended up being one of the fastest in the class. I enjoyed doing this activity because it involved a lot of mathematics and creative thinking. Both of these subjects I enjoy due to the ability to solve problems and to make something cool and interesting out of nothing. This project helped me find out exactly what an engineer does and how he goes from having the idea for a product and actually creating the product. This project was interesting and fun to do and it helped me further my process into becoming an engineer in the future.
