Worth Avenue Shopping Tour 8:45am – 11:45am

Lake Trail Bicycle Tour 12:45pm - 3:30pm

Munyon Eco Tour 12:30pm - 4:00pm

Recognized as one of the world’s most prestigious shopping destinations, Worth Avenue is famous for its international collections of designer fashions, jewelry and world-class restaurants. An architectural treasure, the Avenue boasts more than 200 boutiques, some of which have been serving shoppers since 1925. Transportation will be provided after breakfast. Please meet in the hotel lobby.

The Lake Trail in Palm Beach provides traffic-free bicycling ideal for families with postcard-like scenery, a few historic buildings and glimpses into those exclusive backyards and their mansions. Town of Palm Beach is the barrier island east of West Palm Beach inhabited by the very rich and famous. (This is where the Kennedy family had its compound.) Here the Intracoastal Waterway is a wide expanse called Lake Worth. The Lake Trail has a few interruptions (around the Sailfish Club, for example, where we saw a flotilla of children learning to sail.) But it is easy to follow and the few times you end up on the street, it is inresidential areas of Palm Beach with little traffic. The paved bike trail is landscaped with many trees, some quite old and picturesque. Historical markers show you the original church in Palm Beach (now a home) and the oldest house. The 2-hour tour includes bike rental, helmet, tour guide and lunch.

The early Seminole Indians called this island “Nuctsachoo” or Pelican Island. It was later named forthe flamboyant James Munyon, who built a five - story hotel on the island’s south shore. The hotel Hygeia burned to the ground in 1917 and the island remained mostly uninhabited until a major restoration project was started by Palm Beach County in 1992. Munyon Island is a “must see” for anyone who wants to enjoy the great weather and ecological wonders of South Florida. Our tour begins with an introduction to the area. After being issued a jacket and paddle, your guides will conduct “Paddling 101”, a short lesson on ergonomic paddling. You will then be fitted in a kayak (single or double) and hit the water for an enjoyable paddle through the calm shallow waters. We’ll

head to the northern tip of the island and take a short swimming break on a white sandy beach, then onward through the winding mangrove trails. When we reach the west side, we’ll stop on the beach and explore the island while your guide shares some of the island’s history, native flora and fauna. Watch for “Ozzie & Harriet,” the two dolphins that call this lagoon home. We’ll paddle around small mangrove islands as we continue to make our way back to our launching spot. 2 1/2 hour guided tour includes: single or double kayaks, paddles, PFD & guide, admission to Park, snacks & drinking water. Enjoy your very own personal view of the incredible variety of sea life that call this area home. Your Captain will decide which will be the best of several snorkeling areas depending on the weather, tides and water conditions at the time of excursion. Palm Beach’s great snorkeling is a direct result of the Gulf Stream, which comes closest to the U.S. mainland near the Lake Worth inlet.
