INTERNATIONALCHRISTIAN SCHOOLOF BUDAPESTThe International Christian School of Budapest is anindependent, English-speaking K-12 school ofapproximately 250 students representing at least 20different nations in Europe, Asia and the Pacific, andNorth and South America. We are located in Diósd,a suburb of Budapest, Hungary, consistently rankedamong Europe’s most beautiful cities. Our schoolassists primarily the families of the missionarycommunity, as well as the families of theinternational and Hungarian communities. ICSB isaccredited by the Association of Christian SchoolsInternational (ACSI) & Middle States Association ofColleges and Schools (MSA).

ICSB is a college preparatory institution with a UScurriculum. The language of instruction is English.We are committed to hiring faculty members whohave a strong Christian faith and a consistentrelationship with Jesus Christ, and who live asmodels of mature Christianity before students. Ourschool’s leadership and faculty are expected toarticulate and exhibit authentic faith in Christ, andour faculty teaches all subjects from a biblicalworldview.

For the past several years, we’ve been guided by thevision “Better, Not Bigger.” This philosophy has served us well. However, we recognize it is time tobegin thinking about the next phase for ICSB. Thus, we desire a Director who will not only focus oncontinued improvement in the curriculum and the professional development of our teachers and staff,but also cast a new vision for the school. While we continue to look at next steps, we remaincommitted to serving missionary families who are living and working in Central Europe, providing theirchildren with an excellent, biblically-based, college-preparatory education in an environment thatencourages them to become wholehearted followers of Christ.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSPlease note that a more detailed School Profile,Director Profile and Job Description will be providedwith the application.

• The Director is expected to provide leadershipwhile demonstrating a passion for Jesus Christand the advancement of the Great Commission.• The Director will report to an 8-member board,supporting and implementing governance boardpolicy while providing visionary leadership forschool faculty and students. • The Director will manage a leadership teamcomprised of an elementary (K-5), a middleschool (6-8) and a high school (9-12) principal,and will also provide oversight to a diverse,cross-cultural staff of approximately 110 faculty,administrative and support personnel.• While some incentives are available, note thatthe Director and all faculty members andadministrators serve as missionaries and mustraise their own financial support to meet theirliving expenses in Hungary. More specifics will becommunicated upon application.• The Director is required to have a Bachelor’sdegree. It’s preferred that he or she has aMaster’s degree in Education or Leadership (or isexpecting to acquire it) and has internationaleducation experience. • The Director plans to serve our school for aminimum of 5 years. • The position will begin June 1, 2018.
