What is an Inspector of Works?The duty of an Inspector of Works (IOW) is to “superintend” the construction of building, ensuring quality and the use of materials in accordance to speci�cations. The IOW is an of�cer who protects the employer’s interests by being the consultants’ eyes and ears, and oversee the work being executed by the contractor.
