September President’s Message Welcome back! The FES Board has been hard at work to improve our methods of communication and planning for great upcoming events. Our first meeting of the 2016-2017 term will be on September 28th at the SFWMD Lower West Coast Service Center for a lunch presentation by Phil Flood regarding Lake Okeechobee and Everglades Restoration. This meeting will earn you 1 PDH! Immediately following the meeting is a webcast regarding Regulation Division Updates. There are more details provided in this newsletter. Our Public Relations Director, Sally Goldman, has launched our chapter Facebook page. Please make sure to like the page so you can stay up to date with all of the upcoming events and features. You can find our page at: www.facebook.com/FESCalusa Please also be sure to peruse the newsletter. There are several updates regarding upcoming events such as the FGCU Chapter Professional Meet and Greet planned for September 22 at 5:30pm and the several upcoming K-12/STEM events. It would be great to have our chapter represented well at these events. You should have received your renewals for FES membership recently via email. Please make sure to renew, to support FES, and continue to join us at events! We filled the Ways and Means Director position in 2015-2016. Thank you Kevin Dowty for stepping up to the plate and knocking Casino Night 2016 out of the park! We look forward to bringing you some interesting and fun meetings this year. Hopefully with PDHs available for most of them. Please let us know what you would like to hear about. Hope to see you soon, Wes Kayne Chapter President
