2. WHAT IS AN EXACT DIGITIZATION?:

A. EXACT DIGITIZATION DESCRIPTION:The only way a logo group can be an Exact Digitization is if the same Logo Group (See above for more on Logo Groups) is being used that was used previously. If all logo parts of the logo group have not been used together in the past than it is not an exact digitization because we'll have to do some digitizing to prep it for the given line item. It is important that you understand what Exact Digitization means; this means that nothing in the logo group is being changed deleted or added. The design must remain EXACTLY as it was. If any modifications are made to the body of the design, a date changing, type being added or removed you must select NO from the Exact Digi pull-down menu. Exact Digitization means, for the given line item, Ahead's digitizers do not need to see/touch. Also for a design to be an Exact Digitzation the Logo Group must either be going on the same style or on a style from the same Embroidery Fabric Group (EFG) or Embroidery Headwear Group (EHG) (You can make notes in the SIZE/CLARITY box and the design can still be an exact digitization, if and only if the logo group is in fact an "Exact Digitization")

B. ITEM GROUPS IN EXACT DIGITIZATIONS:When you are picking styles for exact digitizations you can put different styles together in the same Item Group, In some cases all the styles in the item group might not be exact digitizations, if this is the case you will need to list if the Logo Group you are using is and Exact Digitization (and what type of Exact Digitization it is per line item). When you do a Clone Order or a Reorder Minor the default will be EDSC-SS because you will be ordering the exact same styles that were ordered previously. In cases where you are doing a Reorder Major you will need to go through, by line item to determine if each style is an Exact Digi, and if it is, what type. Because in the Major Reorder you can change the styles.

When you are doing reorders you can do an item group for each different style, for example one for hats and one for visors, Doing this will duplicate the Logo Group and make the overall order much larger, also if the buyer is going to be seeing proofs form the On-Line ordering system he or she will get multiple e-mails. It is preferred if you are doing different styles in headwear for example that you keep them all in the same Item Group and indicate by line item of the Logo Group is, in fact and Exact Digi for each line item.

4. EMBROIDERY FABRIC GROUP (EFG) and EMBROIDERY HEADWEAR GROUP (EHG): In quite a few cases the Logo group can be an Exact Digitization even when used on a style that you have not used the Logo group on yet...Why? because it is in the same Embroidery Group, What does this mean? Well a Logo Group done a RF (Reverse Fleece) and a SF (Sueded Fleece) are interchangeable (See EFG#A, below). Even though the actual garment is different the EFG that it is the same, so our digitizers do not have to touch it, so you can use the same digitization for each if these. For a detailed list of embroidery groups see the charts below. The same applies for headwear, there are quite a few cases where if even the SKU is different the EHG is the same and the same Logo Group can be used for 2 caps with different style numbers. For example you can use the same digitization on a C47WT1 and a C47MT2, even though the style numbers are different they are in the same EHG so you can use the same Digitization.

EMBROIDERY HEADWEAR GROUPS (EHG'S) AA/KL HEADWEAR: if a style is not listed it does not belong to any embroidery fabric group, it only can be an exact digi if the exact same SKU is used.

5. EXACT DIGI CODES EXPLANATIONNO: this means the logo group is not an Exact Digitization for a given line item.?ED: this means the logo group might be an Exact Digitization but you are not sureED?C-DS: The logo group is an Exact Digitization but to be used on a Different Style that it has never been used on before (But that style is in the same EFG or EHG as another style this logo group has been used on in the past which is why it is an Exact Digitization) but unsure if have used this logo group on this colorway (of any style) in the past. ( Hence ?C) ED?C-SS: The logo group is an Exact Digitization to be used on the Same Style that it was used on before and unsure if have used this logo group on this colorway (of any style) in the past.EDDC-DS: The logo group is an Exact Digitization to be used on a Different Style that it has never been used on before (But that style is in the same EFG or EHG as another style this logo group has been used on in the past which is why it is an Exact Digitization) and the logo group was used on a different colorway in the past. EDDC-SS:The logo group is an Exact Digitization to be used on the Same Style that it was used on before and the logo group was used on a different colorway in the past. EDSC-DS:The logo group is an Exact Digitization to be used on a Different Style that it has never been used on before (But that style is in the same EFG or EHG as another style this logo group has been used on in the past which is why it is an Exact Digitization) and the logo group was used on the same colorway in the past.EDSC-SS: The logo group is an Exact Digitization to be used on the Same Style that it was used on before and the logo group was used on the same colorway in the past. (This code EDSC-SS is the default code the system uses when you are doing a Clone Order, Minor Reorder or Major Reorder.)

7. WHICH IMAGE TO CLICK-ON IF MULTIPLE SAME IMAGES: When you go to look at your accounts digitizations on-line you will see that there might be multiple images of the same logo (See the example below). If you know for a fact that the logo is an EFG or EHG then you can pick any of the images. We will pick the correct in-house digitizations if you have chosen the wrong one and that will then be corrected in the system. So when you go to look at your submitted orders the next time you will know exactly which Digitization to use if you are writing another Exact Digitization. Remember if you are unsure if a Logo Group is an Exact Digitization when submitting a reorder for the first time on the on-line system for a particular logo group then just select the ?ED.

6. SOME EXAMPLES OF WHEN YOU CAN USE AN EXACT DIGITIZATION IN DIFFERENT EFG's OR EHG AND WHAT TYPE OF ED IT IS: in all the cases listed the exact same logo group must be used. Nothing can be changed, modified added or deleted anywhere in the logo group.

8. USING A LOGO GROUP FOR THE FIRST TIME ON AN ONLINE ORDER: When you are using a Logo Group for the first time on the online system you won't be able to utilize an existing on-line order (or account's "Favorite Logo Groups" in the on-line system) because you've never placed an on-line order for that logo group; so you will need to refer to your written files to see if the Logo Group is an Exact Digitzation. You may know that the design has been done on the exact item in the past or that it was done on an item in the same EFG or EHG. As you start submitting orders in the system you'll be able to look at your orders on-line and you'll know what you've done in the past. Once you have orders in the system you can pick from "CLONE" Or RE-ORDER MINOR or REORDER MAJOR and you'll notice the system will automatically assign EDSC-SS to each line item being Cloned or Re-ordered.

9. WA's AND IA's WACYO's AND IACYO's

A. WA's and IA's (Woven Applique designs and Iron Applique Designs)Both WA designs and WACYO designs utilize a woven label. (either a stock Ahead Woven Label or one that has been made for the customer) The label to be used needs to be selected in the On-line system when one of these designs is chosen. Both IA and IACYO designs utilize a ballmarker. (either a stock Ahead Ballmarker or one that has been made for the customer) The ballmarker to be used needs to be selected in the On-line system when one of these designs is chosen.

The major difference between WA's and WACYO's and IA's and IACYO's is that WA's and IA's do not have "custom" embroidery that goes around the ballmarker or woven label. (although it The first time you are entering a WA or IA order on the on-line system if the account you are ordering them for has done them in the past you need to indicate if it was done and what Exact Digi code it is. Unlike other design categories, WA's and IA's will never show up in your accounts digitizations unless they have a side icon. (This however is rare it seems most IA's and WA's are ordered without a side icon) so you will not be able to tell if an account has ordered WA's or IA's by looking in their digitizations on-line (unless, as stated before, they have a side icon) However, when you first enter a WA or IA into the on-line system it will go into your accounts favorites and will show up if you are doing a clone order or a reorder major or reorder minor off of an order that has IA's or WA's on it.

WA AND IA'S WILL ALWAYS SHOW AS TEMPLATE IMAGES WHEN SELECTED FROM AN ACCOUNTS FAVORITES, OR WHEN A CLONE ORDER OR REORDER MAJOR OR REORDER MINOR IS BEING DONE.

THE ONLY TIME AN IA OR WA WILL SHOW UP IN YOUR ACCOUNTS

DIGITIZATIONS IS IF IT HAS A SIDE LIKE THE EXAMPLE TO THE RIGHT.

Page 14: EXAMPLE - images.aheadorder.comimages.aheadorder.com/aheadonline/pdfs/03exactdigi.pdf(example b) here we see a front logo and a side logo. this is a "logo group" example a. example

B. WACYO's and IACYO'sWACYO's and IACYO's are like other CYO designs (the only exception being they need to have a Ballmarker or Woven Applique selected for each design) since they have embroidery that is going to be in the design. WACYO's and IACYO's will show up in the accounts digitizations after they have been entered in the on-line system.

If you are not starting an order with the Clone or Reorder Major/Minor options but you know that a WA or IA's has been used you will need to pull it form the favorites or from the pull down menu and indicate what type of Exact Digi it is (If it is an Exact Digi)

10.FAVORITES -Remember, you can look at a GIVEN accounts favorites to see what designs have been done in the past for that account.
