Re: Application for Barclays Bank InternshipI would like to apply for one of the internship opportunities at Bank that has been brought to my attention by teachers at . I see this internship as an exciting opportunity for me to develop the skills I have gained from my A level studies through application in real world situations. I am currently studying Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Economics and Physics. My studies in both Mathematics and Economics have sparked my interest in financial markets. At a recent taster day at Kings College London, for example, I particularly enjoyed a talk on how mathematics can be used to create a basic model for stocks and shares. My studies have also given me a basis from which I can continue to grow as I learn more from each new experience. Moreover, during my years at school I have become proficient at problem solving and always look at tackling new and more difficult problems with an optimistic attitude. I consider myself a team player with good organisational skills and an attention to detail. These attributes are what make me suited for this placement and although I may lack previous experience I am enthusiastic and very willing to learn. I am particularly interested in the investment banking side of the company; I find it intriguing how the experts at Bank find solutions to complex problems in order to give their company a competitive edge. That said I am eager to learn much more about trading in general and at , as well as seeing how the other departments of the business work together to achieve success.I am available throughout July and August.
