IB Diploma results The International Baccalaureate Diploma: Taken by students in Year 13, aged 18
The International Baccalaureate was introduced at The British School in 2008, with the first exams in 2010. Our results have been excellent and reflect both the hard work of our students and the high standard of teaching and learning within the programme which is now embedded into the school next to the long standing A Level programme. The table below shows the percentage of students for each range of IB Diploma points. For the Diploma, the maximum points available is 45 and the minimum needed to secure a diploma is 24.

University destinations The quality of our students outcomes has a direct influence on the courses and universities to which our students apply. Over the years we have built up an excellent record with around 91% of our students obtaining places at their first choice university or college and rising to 98% if second choices are included.
This year saw three BSN students achieve coveted places at Oxbridge.
The school’s Careers department offers advice on applications for universities around the world, but it is no surprise that the majority of students head for the UK.
