    It was a warm night. Hisyam opened the door leading to the balcony. As soon as

    he opened it, he smelt the distinct smell of smoke. He sniffed again and this time he was

    The recent floods that ravaged Johore, Malacca, Negeri Sembilan and Pahang caused much havoc.

    The floods caused massive damage to infrastructure and property.Thousands of people who were

    stranded had to be evacuated to relief centres. Many areas had their electricity supply and

    telecommunications cut off.

    However the floods brought Malaysians from all walks of life together. Many volunteer

    Victims whose homes and household appliances were damaged by the floods received financial
