Access to a wealth of meter intelligence
Elster AMCO’s evolution represents true AMI in every technologicalaspect. A web-based network management application running onthe utility’s server handles two-way, end-to-end communicationsthroughout the entire network from a central location to each RadioTransceiver Module (RTM). The system’s intelligent two-way commu-nications capability not only allows the utility to acquire ‘on demand’readings, it also provides the medium necessary to receive informa-tion about various events from the RTM as these events occur. These include residual or extreme leaks, tampering, low battery and backflow. This information is automatically transmitted back to the head end, and/or to an email address of the utility’s choice.
