I N T R O D U C T I O N

Hello!What a pleasure to be here with you. I hope you enjoy the exploration of drawing Sleeping Beauty with me.

We start with two warm up Sketchercises ™ to get you moving, and then flow into the main lesson. The reason I have included to warm up Sketchercises, is to build confidence in the process. Treat your artwork with compassion too!

In my online Art School, I have three rules:1: be nice to yourself (and your artwork). 2: be nice to others (Simple!).3: be nice to Jane (Easy - Just hashtag your artwork inspired by my lessons #janedavenportinspiresme )

Sometimes it is a struggle to follow rule #1. But I am strict about it! I believe that if you are negative and overly critical of your artwork, it is hard to enjoy the process. If you don’t enjoy making your artwork, you won’t do much of it. And practice is the only thing that will take you towards making the artwork of your dreams. I call this ‘Joyful Practice’

My motto is “Trust The Mess”. This simply means revel in the process of making art, trust you are learning and growing.

I hope you find my lesson helpful and I can’t wait to see what you create!
