EventWell is challenging the event industry

to get active and walking.

Even during the lockdown, we can go outside for daily

exercise and, the daily recommended step count to keep

us fit and healthy is 10,000.

We are challenging event professionals to take on the

challenge either individually, or in teams as added

motivation, to achieve this daily step count, which is also

70,000 steps a week and, 300,000 for the whole of the

month of June.

Here's some added motivation for you:

Completing 10,000 steps a day burns about 2,000 to 3,500

extra calories each week.

One pound of body fat equals 3,500 calories, so depending

on your weight and workout intensity, you

could lose about one pound per week simply by

completing 10,000 steps each day.

You can even help EventWell with our funded projects and

campaigns this year by asking your friends, family and

colleagues to sponsor you.

Fundraising for EventWell goes a long way to supporting

the essential annual campaigns and educational

programmes we run as the Mental Health and Wellbeing

Voice of the Event Industry and, helps us to support the

one in three event professionals who are struggling with

their mental health every year. Maybe you would like to

split your fundraising 50/50 with EventWell and a charity of

your choice, maybe the NHS or Mind?
