Located in the prestigious St Andrew Square, with the 41 foot tall Melville Monument at its centre, The Refinery is Drake & Morgan’s first venture outside London. It comprises an open-plan kitchen and statement back bar that exudes sophistication, as well as a sleek library lounge upstairs and an alfresco terrace. Open seven days a week for everything from early morning breakfasts through to late-night dinners and drinks, The Refinery is an everyday escape for Edinburgh’s most discerning drinkers and diners.
FOOD & DRINK
Menus, inspired by the seasons and crafted by our team of chefs, are influenced by the latest trends here and across the globe. It offers a range of small plates and mezze boards, ideal to share, alongside larger mains which will come in the form of beautiful burgers, superfood salads & classic dishes. Continuing to push the boundaries of innovative mixology and experimentation, The Refinery offers a variety of seasonally inspired cocktails from the old classics and well-loved favourites to the new, the unexpected and the surprising. The wine list is equally impressive with a variety of vintages from both new and old worlds whilst ice-cold Prosecco and Champagne is in no short supply to cater for all manner of celebrations.
STYLE
Spread across two beautifully designed floors – visible through floor-to-ceiling glass windows – and separated by a show-stopping spiral staircase, guests are greeted by a beautiful bar and dining area, with a statement back bar illuminating the various bottles of wine and spirits available. Towards the rear is an intimate restaurant and open-plan kitchen with counter dining, bringing all the action of the grill to diners who want a front row seat. Sink into comfortable armchairs draped in fur upstairs in the library lounge during the colder months. There is also an alfresco terrace, complete with blankets and hot water bottles for year-round revelry.

As an elegant scene-stealing setting, laden with one-of-a-kind pieces and statement interiors, The Refinery is the perfect spot for photoshoots and filming.
EVENTS
The Refinery’s spacious interior allows for a host of private events, launches and parties to be catered for from small groups to full venue hire. When set up, the stunning ground floor seats 127 in total (202 standing), whilst the mezzanine seats 70 and 198 standing. The space can be easily split into different sections and the gorgeous alfresco terrace has space for 22 seated, rendering the bar & restaurant able to seat 219 covers in total.
