About usOffering the best of both worlds, Event Northumbria has a central city location which also benefits from being located within the landscaped campus of Northumbria University.

We are ideally situated for those choosing a ceremony at newcastle Registry Office – around 200 yards away so guests can make their own way here.

event northumbria offers an array of venues including 2 bars a large ballroom and one of newcastle’s largest outside entertaining spaces. We provide services for wedding breakfasts, reception and also post wedding celebrations for those who marry abroad.

We can support you in the planning of your special day or for those who prefer to do the organising themselves, we can just be there when you need us to be.

event northumbria is a unique venue and as such we can offer some added extras that other venues can’t. For example, we have a theatre space and cinema style big screen – perfect for the premiere of your wedding video! Our ground floor bar with large sun terrace means that you and your guests can enjoy a reception ‘al fresco’ with a covered space meaning you can have a bbQ or Hog roast whatever the weather.

We understand that everyone is different and how you approach planning yourspecial day does not have to follow a set of rules.

Packages are available for those who wish to opt for the all inclusive approach – maybe with some extras, maybe not. We also cater for more bespoke needsmeaning that you can choose every detail of your day, benefitting from thespecial rates we have with our preferred suppliers.

Whichever approach you wish to take you can rest assured that we are alwayshere to help and support you. We have a hands-on approach and provideexceptional customer care which is so important on your wedding day.We pride ourselves in offering you value for money and believe we provide thebest combination of quality, value and service that the city centre has to offer.

Plan Your Day Your Way

We work closely with a dedicated team who offer exceptional quality cateringtherefore we do not permit the use of outside caterers.

You can bring your own wine and champagne and our event staff will serve it for you. there is a charge of £10 per bottle for this service.

We are licensed until 2.30am so the party doesn’t have to stop early.

We have links with local hotels and other accommodation and can offer advice tosuit your budget.

Bespoke Celebrations

If an all inclusive package is not for you then why not choose a bespoke celebration and build a package to suit your exact requirements.

Our Venues

Domain – The Ballroom

This is the ideal space for both daytime and evening celebrations. Domain will be dressed to impress with elegant drapes and beautiful lighting. This

room can accommodate 50 – 400 guests (800 evening).

Hire cost: £900.00

Habita – The Cocktail Bar & Terrace Informal daytime celebrations or slick evening events are perfect for this venue. Modern, sleek décor give Habita the edge and access to our large

outdoor terrace means guests can enjoy a cocktail ‘al fresco’. Habita Accommodates 50 - 400.

Hire cost: £550.00

Reds – The Late Night Lounge Bar

An impressive and sumptuously decorated venue, Reds has everything you need to make your evening reception a party to remember. There is space to accommodate up to 400 guests, a stage for entertainment, stylish island bar

and private balcony.

Hire cost: £500.00

Decor

We have a variety of in-house décor options for you to choose from. A consultation is advisable in order to discuss your exact requirements and

provide you with an accurate quote.

If you prefer to arrange the décor yourselves then we can just be on hand to answer your questions and offer support.

Food & Drink

There are many options when it comes to catering and we offer a wide

variety ranging from a hog roast or BBQ to a 3 course wedding breakfast. For more details see our menus. Included in the hire price for all venues is a bar service allowing your guests to purchase their own drinks. If you wish to purchase drinks in advance for your guests then choose one of our great

value drinks packages, starting from only £11.00 per head.

Entertainment

There are many ways to entertain your guests, from creating your own mp3 playlist for the evening, hiring a DJ or a live band. We have great contacts

and can offer competitive rates or if you prefer you can source you own and we’ll be here to answer any questions you might have.

Children

If you are looking for a way to keep your younger guests occupied then we

can help. With a variety of options from a pop up cinema, giant games, Nintendo WII and big screen to keep the little ones entertained; there will

be something that’s right for you.

We also have a fantastic children’s menu with sweet buffet for dessert!
