The story of Blood Brothers is the tales of twins being separated from birth who become friends inthere youth, unaware they are brothers until the end were they both met there unfortunatelydemise.

First we have Mrs Johnstone is sing about how she met, married and had children with anunknown man, after having 7 children he leaves Mrs Johnstone because she no longer looks like

Marilyn Monroe despite her young age of !, then she finds out she"s pregnant again. #ow MrsJohnstone has to work because she has 7 hungry mouth to feed and no husband to earn a wage,so she finds a $ob working as a maid for the %yon.

The %yon are rich and live in nice area with a large house because Mrs %yon assumed she and Mr %yon would have children but unable to have any, and her husband is away for & months. 'Mrs%yons is the complete opposite to Mrs Johnstone in very important aspect for e(ample wealth)

Mrs Johnstone finds out she going to have twins and social services who are already convictedshe *incapable of controlin" the kids she"s already got+, after ranting to Mrs %yon she fi(ated thatMrs Johnstone is going to have twins and offer to raise one of them, she promises Mrs Johnstone

that the child with have a good upbringing. n awe of the idea that her child may live in wealth andcomfort Mrs Johnstone agree to give a child away to Mrs %yons. -fter the agreement Mrs %yonmakes Mrs Johnstone vow silence and swear on the bible.

-fter the birth of the twins Mrs %yon arrived at Mrs Johnstone home, and remind Mrs Johnstone of there pact, after she take one of the twins and leaves.

Mrs Johnstone is still working at the %yon household but Mrs %yon isn"t uncomfortable about havingMrs Johnstone around because she feel she"s getting too attached to the dward, so she try to payMrs Johnstone to leave after being fired as a cleaner, but Mrs Johnstone threatens Mrs %yon withclaims she go to the police, however Mrs %yons uses Mrs Johnstone irrational fear of superstitious

omen stating * f either of these twins learns he was one of a pair they shall both die immediately /you shall kill them0+

1even years after the event we see Mickey 'the twin kept by Mrs Johnstone) and Mrs Johnstone.Mickey $ust told he"s mother about what and where his been playing and what he"s playing *cowboys and ndians up by the big house+. Mrs Johnstone tell off Mickey for playing by those housesbecause that where Mrs %yons lives. -fter Mickey goes outside he meets dward and it"s their thetwo boys 2uickly become best friend and blood brother with that Mickey cuts his and dwardshand, then grasp each others hands resights * "ll always defend my brother0+

Then Mrs Johnstone comes out and after finding out who dward is forces him to leave say *thebogey man will get you.+

%ater dward ask Mrs %yon *what a bogey man3+ Mrs %yon ask dward where he heard this anddward e(plains he her this from Mrs Johnstone which add to Mrs Johnstone paranoia. %ater

Mickey, dward and %inda are outside playing before Mickey get frustrated and chooses to throwrocks at windows, %inda leaves but dward stay. There about to throw the rock but a police officersstops them and bring them to there mothers she scolded Mrs Johnstone but warn Mrs %yon calmlyto stay away for boys like Mickey to show economic different between the Mothers. -fter wouldMrs %yon talks to dward about moving to the country side, and Mrs Johnstone ask the councilabout moving house and they do, to the country side like Mrs %yon, furtherer adding to Mrs %yon

paranoia that Mrs Johnstone is following Mrs %yon and going to kill dward. -fter another 7 years, we see Mickey and %inda on a hill while Mickey trying to pluck up thecourage to tell %inda how he feels, But %inda get annoyed with all the 2uestion that Mickey is

Page 3: Evaution of Blood Brothers

asking and leaves. -fter Mickey has shouted about how much he love %inda, dward shows up,and as both boys catch up, after Mrs %yon showed up and is convinced that the Johnstone arefollowing her and Mrs %yon think Mrs Johnstone is *waiting to kill you+ which dward shrugs off aher paranoia.

4 5ears have passed and we see %inda and dward outside dward is telling %inda about

university and wondering if he can keep in contact with %inda, soon Mickey arrives and dward isforcing Mickey to tell %inda how he feels and finally does, after Mickey and %inda kiss. Mickey invite

dward to the club but he re$ect saying he needs to *pact for tomorrow+.

#e(t we see Mickey and dward meeting again and dward is happy and gleeful but Mickey is thecomplete opposite, he e(plains how he lost his $ob and how he *living on the dole+ and how he hadto grow up while dward can stay happy like a child. dward leaves but bump in to %inda and triesto convince %inda to marry him but unknown to dward %inda is marry and pregnant with Mickey.

dward broken hearted but still wanting to do right by his friends offer a $ob to Mickey but dwarddoesn"t want %inda to tell Mickey it was anything to do with dward.

-fter 7 more years, now at the factory where both boys work, dward notices Mickey and try tostart a conversation but Mickey is distant, unfocused and confused, when dward start talkingabout getting Mickey a better $ob Mickey snaps at tell telling him how he got this $ob and he doesn"tneed help from anyone, specially dward.

-fter Mickey yelling at %inda while %inda tries to calm him down, but Mickey is convince that %indais cheating on him with dward and start to 2uestion everything he has his $ob, his wife loyalty andthe father of his child. Mickey leaves in a fit of rage and get gun and start looking for dward. %indain panic calls Mrs Johnstone and tell her about how unstable Mickey is, and how his planing to kill

dward. 1o Mrs Johnstone leave so she can find dward or Mickey.

But Mickey gets to dward first and point a gun at dward and starts blaming him for everythingthat going wrong in his life, but after his rant he reveal the gun fake, but Mrs Johnstone doesn"tknow this and tells both Mickey and dward there brother. Then a paranoid, derange Mrs %yoncome out of nowhere with a gun and 6rophecies about how Mrs Johnstone would always tell thetwo boys but how she can have dward without having Mickey in the picture so she shots Mickeybut dward gets in the way, after watching her son fall to the floor dead. 1he aim and shots Mickeyagain, this time hitting her target.

The writer is illiam * illy+ 8ussell born in 9&47 into a working class family near %iverpool, leavingschool at 9! with no 2ualification and became a hair dressers, But in his early :s he when to

university and became a teacher in %iverpool. hile at university 8ussell wrote songs for performers on the radio, he really en$oyed music and it shows in his work, no more then BloodBrothers.

Blood Brother was completed in 9&;9 two years after Margaret Thatcher became 6rime Minister,1he reduced the amount of power work unions had and privatised a lot of publicly own business, also closed many coal mines meaning less $obs, This mean for a short time Britain would sufferedan economic decline and unemployment sky rocket. This affect the industrialised working class inthe north where illy 8ussell grew up, with the lack of $obs and opportunity crime levels increase, areas start to deteriorate like housing and drugs use both legal and illegal became more common, and 8ussell use all of this first hand e(perience and wrote it into Blood Brothers. 1ammyrepresents crime rate increase, Mickey addiction to antidepressants represents drug abuse,Mickey losing his $ob represents Thatcher impact in the industrial industry.

< ne of Thatcher"s believes was *success came to those who chose to work hard+, 8ussellcontradicts this, he believed that social, economic class and connections have a huge effect onsuccess. n Blood Brothers he show how social class can have affect through Mickey and dward. Both boys are biologically the same 'or similar at least) and even those Mickey"s works hard andmeans well he"s lose his $ob, lives in poverty and depend on the government, but dward is thecomplete opposite dward"s first $ob is to run his father company, its likely he lives in big house in arich area if not the same house he lived in as a child. =e also wanted to show a #ature vs. #urture, this term is basically saying it"s genetics that effect a person personality, idea and thoughts or is itthe environment that effect those things. 8ussell was more in favour of #urture and he show us theaudiences through Mickey and dward two boy with the same genetic background but differentenvironment, and its dward social background that let him live comfortably, attend university andrun a company. hile Mickey in poverty, only attend secondary school 'probably because of %inda)and work for dward.

8ussell also refer to Marilyn Monroe through out the play because in the !:"s>?:"s she wasinfallibly famous in the media eyes she was the perfect fantasy women. hich is why the first song

when Mrs Johnstone is called *prettier then Marilyn Monroe+ its such an incredible complement. But behind closed door she was clinically depressed having to take antidepressants eventuallydying for an overdose, in Blood Brothers Mickey become hooked on antidepressants to mirror Marilyn Monroe.

-lthough 8ussell wrote musical such as Blood Brothers and <ur @ay <ut. =e also wrote plays, filmand TA series called <ne 1ummer.

Theatre in ducation was first introduced in 9&?! after people became aware that theatre is a greatway to teach student moral messages. They were trying to move away from traditional talking andlistening and getting students to get involved. Theatre in ducation was invented by people who

want to bring a change in society, 2uestioning everything through theatre. They wanted to addressserious issue like the ones mention earlier and made it normal to talk about it in normally everyday society. T 'Theatre in ducation) develop throughout the 9&7:"s but there a problem whether developing a piece or using a writers piece, but in 9&;:"s there was a huge problem Thatcher cutthe funding for T believing theatre should be value for money and T was too e(pensive, because of the government T company became more scares and the ones who remain had tofind sponsors, and with school having new timetables they couldn"t find the time for T . n 9&;:"sthe government disproved of e(perimental theatre and showed this in the new education system byremoving the @ramatic -rts out of the #ational urriculum and then putting it back in, and theatrewas changing as well, with audiences participation becoming less common, they wanted an artistice(perience meaning there be last of an effect on the audience, but after the 9&&:"s where thetechnology evolved to become more common in everyday life where communication, news and $ustabout everything was easier access, but unfortunately technology came with a lot of problems likecyberbullying. -nd teachers didn"t know how to combat this new forms bullying not to mentionother thing like drug abuse. 1o this is where T got new life being able to connection to theaudiences in a way there teachers can"t, by showing the audiences through first hand e(perienceswhat can happen. ith school finally seeing the potential they book workshops with the Tperformers and at the performances saw, we got to "=ot 1it the characters answer them 2uestionas characters for e(ample *how did you deal with your addiction3+.Theatre in ducation teachesmeaningfully lesson through theatre, generally lesson to protect the audience watch for e(ampledon"t drink and drive. They can also inform the audience about crimes for e(ample knife crime. Thepiece generally have a clear messenger, small cast, low budget, minimise set and have strong

moral running through out. <ne of the reason the cast is so small and minimalist set is these typeof show have to travel from school to school, because the main target audience is 99>9;'secondary school student age).

Blood Brothers has been toured ? times, first time was in -ugust 9&&! starting at the Birmingham=ippodrome.

-fter the success of ducating 8ita, 8ussell was instructed to write a 7: minute piece for Merseyside 5oung 6eople"s Theatre, a small company which tour to local school. The original version of Blood Brothers 'the one written for M56T) had one song "Marilyn Monroe" and a est ndproducer named Bob 1wash saw the production and love it. -ccording to illy 8ussell, 1wash hadbeen *badgering me for a long time to write a new musical+ already having a hit on the est nd,called * John, Paul, George, Ringo … and Bert” a musical about the Beatles, he could pick andchoose anything the Beatles have written. But 8ussell although scared choose to rise to thechallenge, saying * "d been a songwriter before went into the theatre.+, the ne(t 2uestion was whowould compose the score he thought about asking another composer, but didn"t in the endbecause he was *itching to do it myself+. Just like before he was scared but he thought * shouldrisk falling on my face+ ' imagine that means no glory without risk).

-lthough incredible review and public out cry about how amaCing the show is the est nd didn"tseem to the get picture, 8ussell saying he didn"t do enough business in the first 7 weeks, theManager was so nervous about it being a failure he book another production to take it place, cutting the production life, but as we know Blood Brother would became a huge smash andBarbara @ickson performing Tell Me it"s #ot True on the radio help boost it"s name, unfortunatelyfor everyone who worked on Blood Brothers the decision to shut the show for its replacement butBlood Brothers at the %yric Theatre would have sold out house on its final show, 8ussellcommenting *it always felt like unfinished business to me+. -fter this the right were released and a

countless number of productions around the world would make sure Blood Brother would never died.

But Bill Denwright got the right to have national tour of Blood Brothers, unknown to 8ussellDenwright was also %iverpudlian, they first met on when they drove to see one of the productionand on the that $ourney he realised they had a lot in common, and together they started onimproving the production. -lthough seeing your production on the est nd is most writers dreams8ussell didn"t want it there yet, so another national tour was booked. =e finally agreed to est ndafter taking one of his friends to see the show so he booked the tickets under his friend name andwas *spellbound+ by the ,:::E in the audiences, after seeing this 8ussell said * hat "m doing

denying it a lifeblood in the est nd3+. =e called Bill that same night and let it on est nd.Bill Denwright made it a personal responsibility for it be successful, to have two British musicalmake it to the est nd in the same decade. Just like before the critics and audiences loved it, itopen at -lbery Theatre on July ; th, 9&;;, but unlike last time Blood Brothers est nd lifewouldn"t be cut short but e(tend because it the cult following, year after the opening the receptionwas still so great it they had to move to a bigger Theatre, The 6hoeni( it ran for more then 4years, closing in #ovember :9 but still touring.

re>read the script looking for characters idiosyncrasy like the way Mickey, Mrs Johnstone, %indaor another with a %iverpudlian accent miss letter in words like the "=" in hello, now being

pronounced " llo3", or Mickey, dward and %inda when children have to over act 'like children) for e(ample dward when he can"t go outside and play with Mickey and %inda and dward said * ell know what you are, 5ou"re a / 5<G"8 - FHID<FF0+. <n the other side how dward and Mrs

%yon spoke how with elegance, clear and the characters diction as e(cellent, also accent how theposh upper class accent clash with the Johnstone %iverpudlian common accent.

But in hindsight should have read into why did the play had such contradicting charactersbecause if did, would know about the #ature vs. #urture theme throughout, the redundancieswas because of Thatcher or how important Marilyn Monroe is the story. To prepare also work on

the accent trying my best master the accent, started looking for video of how to put on the accent, some of the video said have a phrase for e(ample *chicken and a can of coke+ or miss out letter inwords which mention earlier. would try finding videos of %iverpudlian $ust talking because one of the best way to get an accent is to listen to it on consistently.

The audition process consisted of ayne and #at calling a role out for e(ample *Mickey"s can youplease stand up3+ and the people auditioning for Mickey would stand up and read a part of themonologue. -fter all the people auditioning were finish they would sit back down, after hour of auditioning part all the student were sent out of the room, and after would we"d find out what partwe"d get. feel my audition for Mickey was good strong but clear accent, and accentuate word for e(ample *=e Wees straight through the letter bo(+ increased in volume, gigged a bit and changethe pitch of my voice, but sounded a lot like Jed the person before me and his audition wasperformed better in opinion. My ne(t audition was for dward my audition wasn"t very good, stutter when reading dward part and got try so hard on to stutter dropped the accent, washoping my audition for dward would have gone better.

-fter we 'the class) came back in to the room we got are parts, and got the Milkman and the@octor which was very e(cited about at first. Before found out all the guys got to be Mickey or

dward in every act, and was the only guy who didn"t get a main part. was upset wondering if my audition was so bad didn"t get a main part and thought to myself $ust need to try harder ne(ttime. But then realised their are 4 act with Mickey and dward which mean in theory they need ;

male performers which we have, but they only used 7, never asked but imagine it because wasa different race and didn"t say anything because if this was a professional production likelywouldn"t have the opportunity to ask the director why one of the Mickey or dward aren"t a differentraces. do understand why wasn"t one of the brothers, obviously the brothers are biologically thesame having the same parents and obviously one of the brother can"t be different race to theothers. feel dishearten because my race played a factor in why didn"t get to be one of thebrothers, making me think is my race always going to hold me back3

@uring rehearsal realist people didn"t know there lines which made the rehearsal process a lotlonger then it needed to be, it was main characters who didn"t know there lines for e(ample Mickey

in act who didn"t know his line until a day before the show. -nd when performers don"t know their lines they can"t start doing characteriCation which made it look like someone $ust reading out lineson stage about half way through rehearing process almost everyone knew there lines, so everyonestarted characteriCation which made everyone perform better. -lso everyone %iverpudlian accentstarted to slipping and change to other parts of the country for e(ample 1cotland or elsh andaccording to Datie when ndian after a point, when rehearsing it sounded like Mickey childhoodstarted somewhere new each at act, even during the show the accents although better it wasn"tclear that all the %iverpudlian characters weren"t all %iverpudlian.

Before knew wasn"t going to play guitar ayne give me sheet music and don"t know how toread sheet music, but thought "d try understanding. Because the music chord above the music itself tried using those but some of the chords got very biCarre for e(ample -9 , and the speed of change chords was very 2uick for e(ample in the line * met him and dance and how he came on

Page 7: Evaution of Blood Brothers

8/17/2019 Evaution of Blood Brothers

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/evaution-of-blood-brothers 7/9

with a chat0+ had 7 different chords. -lso when tried rehearsing with Datie 'Mrs Johnstone in act9) and Delly 'pianist and %inda in act ) the guitar chords weren"t in the right key or chords, so withat in mind approach ayne asking him translate the sheet music into tabs or chords. But henever got back to me eventually cutting the student musician having Delly be sound effect atcertain parts of Blood Brothers and recording Marilyn Monroe piano instrumental, and ayne toldus how he"s always wanted a show were students play instrument but with ayne pre>recordingthe track, and cutting my guitar feel that defected the point. hen he cut my guitar from the show

had even less to do.

#e(t ob$ect were the bo(es which were the only set and they were moved from corner then placedand after moved back to a corner. The problems with the bo(es were who move them, when, whichcorner did they need to end, which corner the movers need to enter from etc, because if the bo(esweren"t moved there be a random piece of set on stage out of place and it would interrupted whatwas supposed to happen for e(ample if Jordan and didn"t move the bo(es before act %inda and

dward would start crashing into bo(es. hich would ruin the effect of transitioning from #ikk to1ean and %ucy to Tian.

My %iverpudlian accent wasn"t clear offer find myself sliding up and down in pitch when rehearsingalso $ust dropping the accent at times when $ust remembering the words, also the way was acting

was "acting to the front" when should have been performing naturally instead of "to the front". found it hard breaking out of these habits, also keep ad libbing the line is *love. ith you itsalways need week0+ and change that to *if ne(t week ever comes, "ll be a rich man0+ because thatone of the other lines the milkman had before the script change.

found the doctor came more naturally to me and knew the @octor was a comedic character so could be more rela(ed and could play with the @octor more then the Milkman for e(ample the line* "m your gynaecologist now0+ so increased volume and slow down when it came to the

*gynaecologist + hoping it look like "m reminding Mrs Johnstone "m longer the Milkman, "m the@octor now, but to the other pupils its sounded like "m confused tell me to tone it down and bemore normal, so did but didn"t get any reaction off the audiences and with no feed back from myteachers guess this was better. <nly after the first show did ayne hint at the fact needed tomake the audiences laugh, then reverted to my old way of over pronouncing parts.

still need to work on my accent being told by other pupils it *doesn"t sound right+ and speedbecause it was too fast and people couldn"t understand me, also feel unconfident on stage willbeing the Milkman because with comments about my accents.

<verall thoughts the performance when really well like Mrs Johnstone sing at the start becauseits showed a gleeful innocent to a house wife who is tried of everyone putting her down, and her reaction to Mrs %yon when she offer to take one of her children and 2uaking in her voice of surpriseand fear, and their a transition to the ne(t Mrs Johnstone 'Datie to -bi) thought it was clever howthey did it having Datie tie the apron on -bi, making it clear Mrs Johnstone is a new person waswondering why they couldn"t do this for the other characters, if didn"t know who played who "dprobably got lost.

really liked Mrs %yon, thought she was a very interesting character at the start you see a calmlevel headed character slowly turn into a craCy paranoid women who kills her adopted son and hisbrother for e(ample when forces Mrs Johnstone to give up dward by shouting e(ploiting her fear

of superstition in act one, this show how vindictive Mrs %yon is, and how in -ct we see her paranoia set in when someone may find out her darkest secret and when she man =andal dward

saw despite Mrs %yon begging which shows she do anything to have dward. %iked Mrs

Page 8: Evaution of Blood Brothers

Johnstone en$oy the use of items indicated her character. was wondering why -ct Mrs %yonhad such little time on stage when -ct 9 and Mrs %yon had such a long time on stage.

-lso Mickey and dward were great Mickey"s characteriCation was great believe he when fromcareless, happy and innocent to clinically depressed, and dward keeping that childish flarethrough out the performance which gave dward some kind of hope for his friendship with Mickey.

"ll like dward BlaCer as a children because it made a lot scenes, when he was a child schooluniform and same for teenager and as an adult he own a company he needed to look professional, but Mickey"s $umper work while he was young but when turn into an adult the inform $umper aroundthe waist looked out of place.

The director ayne choose a minimalist set with all black backdrop and set in the round with sitsplace in each side 'it was placed so far back the performers had a walkway and row of chairs of space which ma(imised the performances spaces), and ne(t to the sitting their was one bo( whichcould be moved, and performers could enter and e(it from the corners and all the performers woreblack, 1o we didn"t draw any attention unless were suppose to ' assume), the only set on stagewere the bo(es they were move by performers to make chairs and tables etc. think the lack of setand colour made it easier to focus the actors on stage. The main target audience was schoolchildren aged 99>9? the children who studying Blood Brother at school, it would be good for themto see a stage performances, or anyone who knows of the show but wants to see a new twist.

This was every different to a normal musical theatre production, its was set in the round whichmeant we couldn"t $ust performance to the front, having the best posers, standing up straight andsmiling weren"t important any more. Because the piece was in the round we had to start actingnaturally we mean back the audiences which we struggled with, ignore what we were told aschildren.

nstead of the e(traordinary set which would normally be colourful, giant, lots of levels and havingsomething eye catching which would pull audience attention until the show started, but BloodBrothers only had four bo(es, which the audience confused, nerves and put the audiences onedge.

f the production had been in the <lympus think ayne would have gone more to the musicalside then play, there probably be more songs from the musical, if not some of the important onesfor e(ample "Tell me it"s not True", and if there were more songs there be more dances andchoreography movement, because there would be more space meaning more opportunity show off our dancing skill and our choreographic.

-lso the student musician idea would have to been scraped because the only two musician wouldbe Delly and myself and if there more songs we"d never get on stage, and we"d have to play with abacking track because theirs no one to play bass, drums, rhythm guitar and those are the commoninstruments what about violet, cello, flute etc, we"d have to sing to a backing track.

-lso the performers would get different costumes more colourful, vivid and flasher characters likeMickey and Mrs Johnstone would get bland boring costume to show they were poor, and dwardand Mrs %yon would have nice richer clothes for e(ample silk dress for Mrs %yon and a tailed blacksuit of dward when he"s < of the company, and button shirt, formal shoes etc. -lso one personwould play one character 'obviously not the Milkman and @octor) or they somehow have toe(plains how Mickey when from Tenor to Baritone in the show in 9! minutes or how everycharacter body shape changes randomly. 6otentially we could keep the narrators but it wouldmake more sense to have one.

Page 9: Evaution of Blood Brothers

8/17/2019 Evaution of Blood Brothers

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/evaution-of-blood-brothers 9/9

The way we performance would be complementary different because we"d have to face the frontbecause it would be imposable to do a piece in the round with the sitting in the <lympus, withoutinvading the performances space, scraping the naturalist acting we were told to do 'learningnaturalist acting is useful skill), but there would be more choices for enters and e(its like the stairs,in the original Mickey threatens to shoot dward on a stage while giving a speech, Mickey couldwalk down slowly while ranting 'or sing) at dward about his life. This would surprise theaudiences and immerse the audiences furtherer. The set would be more traditional lots of platforms, parts for e(ample Mrs Johnstone kitchen far left, the middle would be a street and far right would be Mrs %yons house.

f the show as in the <lympus we"d use the whole script meaning a two hour and half show, showing the bus scene where 1ammy threatens the bus driver, and %inda tell Mickey she love himif he doesn"t become a criminal like 1ammy or the seven years Mickey spends in $ail scene and hisaddiction to antidepressants.

Before the production started 'during rehearsal) had my doubts about the production because felt everyone wasn"t putting enough effort into Blood Brothers everyone was busy with somethingelse, specially the guys because we were in =airspray and rehearsal times clashed, felt like myteacher was annoying me when asked about sheet music and converting it to chords and theamount of cast who didn"t know there lines or knew when to move the bo(, and people consistentlydidn"t know line no matter how much they were asked which makes rehearsal drag, but in the endeverything came together everyone knew there line and set movement became second natural.

really en$oyed how the production started with everyone getting on stage while being under anumbrella narrating and how every spoke in unison at parts, different, creepy, unpleasantatmosphere, thought it was great, another segment thought was good is Mrs %yon verbal attackon Mrs Johnstone wishing to pick up her child when he"s crying, it $ust show how evil Mrs %yon, the

way she yell at Mrs Johnstone for wanting to pick up her child, then tried to pay her off, thenblaming Mrs Johnstone for selling her child like it was her idea and e(ploiting her fear of superstition to lock Mrs Johnstone into vow of silent, seeing this cunning, twisted and sadisticcharacter emerge.

very narration part, really en$oy these because plethora of performers got on stage and theyalways did something interesting to transition into the ne(t act or scene, for e(ample -ct into -ct4 where all the narrators are playing games or fair ground attraction, and in unison everyone spokebut there would be breaks for e(ample helsea alone says *5ou can stand outside for hours, $usttalking through the night+, then synchronise for the rest of the speech, also en$oy how they

showed different emotions like how -ct to -ct 4 they convey happiness but in the ne(t theyshowed over bearing presents, real world problems 'at the time) and ultimately portray you can"trunaway from problems.
