InDesign

I used InDesign to construct my magazine

I used It rather than Photoshop because it is more text efficient whereas Photoshop is more photo specialised

Blogger

Blogger allowed me to organise my work carefully showing my progression from my prelim right up to my final evaluation questions

I have learnt how to create, edit and publish posts

I have also learnt how to import pictures and embedded links from Prezi, YouTube and Slide share

Prezi

Prezi has been useful as it has allowed me to present my work in a more creative and appealing manner

I have learnt how to create text boxes, insert images and videos and create a path for the Prezi to follow

Finally I have learnt to embed my Prezi into blogger to be presented directly from my blog post

Slideshare

Slideshare was a good technology because it allowed my PowerPoint presentations like this one to be to be converted for free into a compatible format for my blog

Slideshare was also very easy to use. I learnt how to make an account and embedding was very straight forward

YouTube

I regularly use YouTube to watch and stream videos so I was familiar was very familiar with the website

Although I was fairly new to uploading videos of my own

I learnt how to upload videos of my own after learning which formats to use

From uploading I learnt how to edit the videos information and how to embed the video into my blog

Camera

The camera was an essential technology, without it I would not of gone very far in the production of my magazine

I learnt how to make sure my pictures weren’t over or under exposed by adjusting the aperture and shutter speed on the camera

I learnt how to zoom in and out by twisting the lens back and fourth

I learnt to capture the most accurate shots I needed to hold the camera my eyes extremely close with my nose touching and looking through the lens

Other technologies

Photo booth was great as it was convenient to record a quick video because it could be easily dropped into the blog.

I learnt to make comic book strips on Pixton

I learnt lots of skills including how to create a character, I could resize that character, change expressions and manipulate their poses

Conclusion

The wide range of software available has made producing my work easier and more interesting

The hardware is probably the most important because without the camera there would of being no pictures ultimately no magazine

Learning all these technologies was brought together by the Apple Macs which made all the programmes compatible
