HOW DID YOU ATTRACT/ADDRESS YOUR AUDIENCE?

I have decided the audience for our product is those aged 15-25 who are male.

Activities that the typical audience would be into includes:

• Playing video games, • Going out drinking• Socialising• Watching thriller or action genre films.

We feel our product has attracted them through a variety of ways.

We have used a lot of technology in the piece, something that our audience will be able to identify with. It is important that the audience can identify with the piece because otherwise they may lose interest.

We have also used the typical conventions of a thriller to help us attract them. These conventions include violence, a fast-paced opening and the solving of an enigma. Audiences expect to see these conventions in a thriller. Our opening uses these conventions, this will allow us to attract our audience.

We know the audience is inclined to watch films if there are many enigmas that are raised. We ensured that we raised many enigmas during our product, these include who is Aaron Allen? As well as why the politician wants to find him? By creating these enigmas, it encourages the audience to watch on and see the results to the enigmas.

Overall we have attracted our audience through a variety of ways. We know the different conventions that are the reason why audiences watch thrillers. Enigmas is another thing that we included, this is because enigmas are things that the audience want answering, again this encourages them to watch on and see the answers to the enigmas. We have also included a lot of technology as we know this is something that the audience can identify with, being able to identify with films is another major part of attracting an audience. These reasons should allow us to attract the audience we are targeting successfully.
