EVALUATION QUESTION 2

Page 2: Evaluation q2

HOW IS MY SOCIAL GROUP REPRESENTED.

From my secondary research I established that my target group was males around 25 so the group ill be focusing on is males between 25-34.I will be going through sections of my own production and showing how I have interacted with my social group in a manner of different ways. There are several different ways of doing this such as gender representation with in the film along with age and content that will appeal to my audience.

SOUND

In my production I have thought about my sound in detail and the ways it links in with the target audience as well as the thriller theme. As this is a thriller I have gone with a mysterious type of music for the first section of my product during the main part that contains the titles. This builds atmosphere and isn't traditionally the music my social group listen to but is thought about when regarded as thriller. I have done this as it draws in my target audience wanting to watch more and builds an atmosphere.

I have a number of different shots and images in my product that builds atmosphere and tension also builds a setting of what the rest of the film could be about without

giving away the story line for example there is a body in the titles that gives away some ideas leading the audience on

and making them want to continue reading.

Gender

I have represented my social group in a number of ways the one I will be evaluating is gender. Using a number of shots and actors I have been able to appeal to my social group. I have included shots and themes that will appeal

more to the male society as from my research I have found that males enjoy more gory and scary action

packed films. My film contains these themes as from the title sequence you understand that there's murder, darkness and mystery which represents the male

population that my film is trying to lure.

HOW DID I REPRESENT MY SOCIAL GROUP

Page 6: Evaluation q2

As my age range to my target audience is 25-34 I have been able to add different parts in to suit that age range and make it more desirable for males of that age. As it is appropriate to

contain a number of shots and dialogue that would not be appropriate for the younger aged viewers. Such as murder shots etc. Therefore making it more appealing to the age

range as it can contain a more hardcore thriller that wont be unsuitable for the younger viewers.
