FilmingAt first, due to a very limited amount of time to film inside the classroom it proved hard to produce some viable content as the room was also very clamped and was hard to fit a tripod in. However after getting used to this and starting early it was actually quite easy to film there. And with all these complications that transpired it made it very difficult to employ match on match, wide 180 degree shots and various specific angles.

Other difficulties and what went well

• As this was a one-man project there were some difficulties in filming and editing, however the risks and effort paid off well in the end.

• Costumes served their purpose very well, when the room wasn’t being barged into by students or other teachers filming went smoothly and swiftly. It was enjoyable to play both the hero and the villain, the protagonist and the antagonist.

Equipment and Editing• Use of the microphone was tough as there was no one to hold the

microphone but that was dude to this being a solo project. The tripod was very customizable in regards to height, angle and sturdiness. The camera provided a high definition, helping me achieve 1920x1080p easily.

• Despite an accident in backing up content, editing went very well and with Sony Vegas Pro I was able to edit comfortably and make the transitions along with audio and video crisp.

Characters, plot and planning• I would of liked to go deeper in terms of plot and the characters it revolved

around however with limited people there is only a certain amount of story that something can entail without becoming boring. This is why I decided to keep it short and stick to two characters rather than, say, 5.

• The project was originally planned on a piece of paper but was typed up to also make a digital record of it, later on a storyboard was drawn up to further explain in detail what would happen in the story, how it would happen, and how it would be filmed.

Post production and future projects

• Due to filming in short intervals rather than long it was quite easy to select the parts of raw footage that I wanted to use and refine into the final product. This could have been improved by having more content to pick as there was little choice in some scenes for angles.

• In the future, I would prefer to use a story based around a single character to make it easier to film and also go more in depth with that one character. What I would do differently however, is that I would find an area to film where there would be no interruptions as by doing that the production and filming time would be drastically lowered.
