Education Overview @ EUROSPINE GOALS: • To foster excellence in spinal care by sharing knowledge and by offering
and implemen8ng educa8on, research and quality assessment programs • Ul8mate goal is a European Spine Diploma. • A commonly agreed “core curriculum” is an absolute must across Europe LEARNING OUTCOMES: • EduCom has evaluated and aligned with other European exis8ng
curriculum and iden8fied the most important Learning Outcomes for young spine specialists. – Learning Outcomes:
• What the trainee MUST know at Level (Basic Core) European Spine Course Diploma (ESCD)
• What the trainee MUST know per Module • What the trainee MUST know per lecture
26.04.15 22
Education Overview @ EUROSPINE TEACHING TO LEARNING OUTCOMES:
• Each lecture has defined and specific points that must be covered • Faculty are free to adapt presenta8ons around Learning Outcomes by
using various teaching techniques (Lecture, Case Discussion, Small Group etc.)
• At the end of the lecture, it must be clear what each delegate has learned from the lecture
EVALUATION & QUALITY: • To maintain quality, the Learning Outcomes must be at the CORE of each
lecture. • Faculty on each Module know the Learning Outcomes for each lecture
and therefore avoid overlap in content • Quality must be maintained in order to keep content consistent
regardless of faculty, language etc. • Evalua8on cri8cal component to maintain integrity.
