The E-world energy amp water established itself in 2016 once more as the leading trade fair for the European energy industry Record participation by 650 exhibitors from 25 nations and over 24000 visitors from 71 countries confirmed the high standards and outstanding significance of the trade fair as an information platform for the energy sector

We are pleased about the sustained high numbers of exhibitors and visitors as this is clear proof that we are achieving our aim of aligning E-world closely with current market developments and industry trends The constantly growing number of first-time exhibitors presenting themselves and introducing their new products services and ideas is also particularly pleasing This underlines our own perception of E-world as a mirror of the energy industry The consistently positive feedback we have received from both exhibitors and visitors is equally crucial to us and has again reached record levels this year This provides both an incentive and an obligation to continue to align the exhibition concept closely with the latest trends and to maintain our ambitious goals

The focus of the trade fair this year was on products technologies and services in the fields of energy services information technology and energy trading The ldquoSmart Energyrdquo area in particular where intelligent technologies for efficient networking and control of electricity generators storage systems and consumers are presented continues to grow

The focus of the varied supporting programme on diverse topics also added to E-world 2016 A lively exchange of knowledge and stimulating discussions between participants and speakers from business science and politics took place in conferences workshops forums and seminars

A lively exchange of views also took place this year at the first ldquoE-world meets start-upsrdquo event With this new

platform for exchanging ideas and networking E-world offers young innovative companies the opportunity to present their ideas and introduce themselves to the energy world Around 300 start-ups investors and industry partners came together to discuss current challenges and make contacts The ldquoE-world meets start-upsrdquo programme also included the ldquoEnergy App Awardrdquo for the first time which acknowledges the importance of app-based customer communication Out of almost 60 applications the distinguished panel of judges chose winners in the categories ldquoCustomer Benefitrdquo ldquoInnovationrdquo and ldquoFuture Conceptrdquo

The comprehensive range on offer their high quality and innovative approaches impressed both exhibitors and visitors at E-world After the trade fair over 90 stated they would participate again next year
