1 IntroductionTheFooD-STAwebplatformwillrepresentthedigitalframefortheFooD-STAcentreandwillbeimplemented in the project website www.food-sta.eu. This document describes all initiallyplannedfunctionalities,toolsandfeaturesoftheplatformtobeimplemented(and-bythetimethisdocumentispublished-alsoalreadypartiallyimplemented).TheoutputsandinsightsgainedbyallWPs(especiallyWP5onTeachingtoolsandmethods)willleadtofurtherextensionoftheofferedservicesthroughthiswebplatform.Thus,thefunctionalitieswillbeextendedandfurtherdevelopedthoughtthewholedurationoftheproject.Thisinitialdescriptionofthewebplatformwill be updated at the end of the project, giving a full overview of all implanted tools andfunctionalities(Seesection13,page10).
2 TechnicalImplementationTheFooD-STAwebplatformisimplementedontheprojectwebsite,developedwithdrupal,asintranetwithsomefeatures tobeopen foreveryone,othersonly forusers.Sections like thecontinuousneedsmonitoringtool(includingtheresultsofthedevelopedquestionnaireandallneedsidentifiedduringtheprojectthroughthelocalcontacthubsandFooD-STAdatabases)willhave limitedaccessonly forofficialpartnersof theprojectandmembersof theEuFooD-STANetwork.

Additionally, the web platform will include sections membership and the local hubs, alsoavailableintheregionallanguage.
Furthertherewillbeadditionalfunctionalitieslike
• A newsletter system: users can subscribe/unsubscribe. This system will allow theadministrators to send emails to subscribed persons. An archive of the producednewsletterswillbeaccessibleonline.
• Amassmailsystem:Thissystemwillallowtheadministratorstosendemailstospecificgroupsofregisteredusers.
Itisexpectedthattoolsandfunctionalitiesareimprovedandextendedduringtheproject.Allchangesandadditionswillbereportedinanupdatedversionofthisdeliverable(M35).

4 MembershipandAccessapplicationPartners fromCompanies aswell as the Educational Sector are invited to join the FooD-STANetwork,supporttheactivitiesanddirectlybenefitfromthedevelopments.TheMembershipisfree of charge. Newmemberswill not receive any EU-funding from the project. Due to theErasmus+fundingrules,costsofadditionalpartnerscannotbecovered.
Using an online registration form, stakeholders can apply for an account according to thefollowing“roles”:

Submissions will be evaluated by the Director and Deputy Director of the eFSC. In case ofapproval,theaccountofthenewmemberwillbeactivatedbyanadministratorandtheapplicantwillbeautomaticallyinformedaboutacceptanceorrejection.
AnorganigramofFooD-STACenterandlocalhubswillbeimplementedatthewebsite,includingdescriptionofbenefits,rightsandduties.
FooD-STAmembershaveaccesstoeverythingexceptmaterialsrestrictedtoprojectpartners.
5 ContinuousneedsmonitoringsystemAlldetailedinformationconcerningthedescriptionandimplementationoftheContinuousneedsmonitoringsystemisspecifiedinD2.6.
6 MobilityandJobdatabaseThis database includes information about job offers and mobility options for exchange ofstudentsandstaffbetweenfoodindustryanduniversities,e.g.internship,shorttermscientificmissions.Onlyregisteredusers(userandpassword)canfillinandsubmittheonlinetemplates.Alternativelywordtemplatescanbedownloadedtobefilled inandreturnedbyemail tothesecretaryofeFSC.Furtherlinkstoexistingmobilityandjobdatabaseswillbeprovided.
6.1 MobilitydatabaseInthisdatabaseunderconstructionthedatawillbeviewedaslist(opentothepublic)andeachentryastable(alsoopentothepublic).

This tool, currently under construction, will allow stakeholderswithin the food industry andresearchinstitutionstosharewithFooD-STAmemberstheirideasandexperiencesoninnovativecollaboration between academia and food industry. All successful, innovative and creativeexamplesofthistypeofcollaborationwillbeverywelcome.

9 DatabaseofexpertsThis database includes information on experts regarding the Food sector. As basis for theimplementation of this database, the database from the FP7 TRAFOON project will be used(https://www.trafoon.org/info/exp). The University of Hohenheim (UHOH), Co-ordinator ofTRAFOON,isanofficialpartnerinEuFooD-STAproject,beingWPleaderinWP2“EstablishmentoftheEuFooD-STACentre”.This database will be transferred to a new server and modified by extending the sectorsmentionedinchapter5.ThenontheTrafoonwebsiteandontheFooD-STAwebsitetherewillbeimplementedalistandtableview.Thedatawillbemaintainedonthenewserverandcanalsobeaccessedandsearchedbyotherwebsitewithsuitablefilters.
AdditionalinformationwillbeprovidedforEuFooD-STApartnersandmembersoftheeFSCtocompleteandkeepupdatedthedatabase.
10 DatabaseoforganisationsThis database includes information on organisations like associations, research/technologytransfer institutions, suppliers (industry, distribution, consultancy), public authorities andanyotherbodies(miscellaneous)regardingtheFoodsector.Asbasisfortheimplementationofthisdatabase,thedatabasefromtheFP7TRAFOONprojectwill be used (https://www.trafoon.org/info/org). The University of Hohenheim (UHOH), Co-ordinatorof TRAFOON, is anofficialpartner inEuFooD-STAproject,beingWP leader inWP2“EstablishmentoftheEuFooD-STACentre”.

11 TrainingplatformThissectionwillbespecifiedmore indetailand implemented laterbyWP5. Itwill includee-learningcoursesandwebinarsdevelopedwithinFooD-STAprojects.
11.1 E-learningcoursesE-learningcoursesforundergraduate-,graduatestudentsandpeoplefromthefoodindustryallovertheworldwillbedevelopedincooperationofexpertsfromuniversitiesandcompaniestobeusedat:
• differentuniversitiesforblendedlearning
• companiesforCPD,coachedbytrainersfromboth(universitiesandcompanies)
The courses will be implemented in the content and e-learning management tool moodle(https://moodle.iseki-food.net/)providedbytheISEKI-FoodAssociation.
11.2 WebinarsAseriesofwebinarswillbeorganisedandrecordedfor laterviewing.ThesewebinarscanbeusedforCPDtraining,e.g.topresentanddiscussnewtechnologies,accessiblealsobySMEs.
The webinars will be carried out with the GoToWebinar Tool(http://www.gotomeeting.com/webinar),providedbytheISEKI-FoodAssociation.
11.3 TeleconferencetoolThiswillbecarriedoutwiththeGoToMeetingTool(http://www.gotomeeting.com/),providedby the ISEKI-FoodAssociation. It allows screen and keyboard sharing towork on a commondocument.Thesessionscanalsoberecorded.
11.4 DigitallibraryAdditionally,theFooD-STAwebplatformwill includea“Digital library”,acollectionofonlinetrainingmaterialandresearchresultsavailableforthegeneralpublicindifferentlanguages.Thiswillconsistof:
• tutorials(podcasts,PowerPoints)e.g.ofanalyticalmethods,processingunits,etc.

13.1 TheeFSCmembershipTheeFSChasbeenopenedtonewpartnersfromcompaniesaswellastheeducationalsector,supporting the activities and directly being benefited from the developments. As it waspreviouslyexplained,themembershipisfreeofcharge.NewmemberswillnotreceiveanyEU-fundingfromtheproject.TheeFSCmembershipandtheonlineapplicationform(Figure2and3)areopenforadditionalmembers.Figure4showsthecurrentmembersoftheeFSC,including21 official EuFooD-STA partners and associated partners and 13 new eFSC members(https://www.food-sta.eu/consortium).

13.2 ContinuousneedsmonitoringsystemNeeds from food industry have been collected by the eFSC using the continuous needsmonitoring system (Figure5), implementedat theEuFooD-STAwebsite.Thequestionnaire isavailable in different languages (English, German, Italian, French, Portuguese, Spanish andGreek). All needs/demands collected are included in a document available as a pdf in thecontinuousneedsmonitoringsystem(https://www.food-sta.eu/needs_monitoring_intro,Figure6).

13.3 Brokeragesystem-JoboffersandjobapplicationsdatabasesTheFooD-STABrokerageSystem is aplatform for graduatesand the industry from theFoodsectoractingasacontactbaseprovidinginformationaboutofferedjobopportunitiesontheoneside,andavailablegraduates(expertise)ontheotherside.
Thebrokeragesystemincludestwodatabases:
- a job offers databasewith all type of job in the food sector (Figure 6,https://www.food-sta.eu/jobs_database),and
-a jobapplicationsdatabasewhereskilledgraduatescanpresent theirexpertise in the foodsectorandavailability(Figure7,https://www.food-sta.eu/jobapplications).
Inbothdatabases,thedatacanbeviewedaslist(opentothepublic)andeachentryastable(alsoopentothepublic).Forthesubmissionofboth, jobofferandjobapplication,anonlinetemplate is available. Before the publication of any job offer and/or job application in thecorresponding database, the secretary of eFSC checked the provided information. Afterapproval,theinformationisdisplayedonthedatabase.

Intotal,morethan100jobsoffersandmorethan50jobapplicationshavebeenpublishedintheeFSCwebplatform.
13.4 MobilitydatabaseThe mobility database (https://www.food-sta.eu/mobility-offers, Figure 8 and 9) providedinformationtofacilitatetheexchangeofstudentsandstaffbetweenUniversityandfoodindustry(internships,shorttermscientificmissions(STSM))inEurope.Anonlinetemplateisavailableforthesubmissionofanewmobilityoffer(SeeFigure10).Beforethepublication,thesecretaryofeFSC checked the provided information. After approval, the information is displayed on thedatabase.
Intotal,morethan30mobilityoffersareavailableinthedatabase.MostofthesemobilityofferscomefromPortugalandGermany.

13.5 FooD-STAStudentWebPlatform–entrepreneurshipThis new online tool (Figure 11, https://www.food-sta.eu/careers/entrepreneurship) forstudents and graduates related to the food sector and food industry (Food Science, FoodTechnology, Nutrition Science, etc.) acts as a contact base providing information aboutentrepreneurialsuccessstories(Figure12)andofferingacommonplatformfor:
1.Theexchangeofideasforprojects,Start-upsandnewinitiatives.Forthispurpose,adatabasehasbeendevelopedforstudentswhodonotalreadyhaveaprojectidea,butwouldliketooffertheirskills.
2.Theestablishmentofpartnershipsforprojectsandnewbusinessinitiatives.Adatabasehasbeenimplementedforstudentswhoalreadyhavedevelopedaprojectidea,butarelookingforspecificskills.
