Sessions are organized in a “cross-over” format, i.e., each topic will be presented during a plenary session and be debated, before or afterwards, during an ask the expert session. Language The official language is English. To insure optimal understanding all lectures and debates will be in English and be translated simultaneously. For this purpose headphones will be distributed at the beginning of each session. Dates The conference will start on Friday June 1 with a welcome lunch at 12h00 followed by the welcome address and an opening lecture at 14h00 in the Plenary Session Room. The course will end on Sunday June 3 at 13h00. Payment in any other currency will not be accepted. The following primary academic and practical educational objectives have been defined: to inform GPs about the latest scientific advances in the field of cardiology; to focus on new and emerging interventional and medical therapies; to assess and improve the clinical implications of primary and secondary prevention; to debate the impact and management of cardiovascular risk factors; to allow GPs meeting and discussing with international experts on (controversial) issues, challenges, and special cases related to their daily practice.
