n Conference formatThe conference format is designed to allow maximum interaction between participants andfaculty. Sessions are organized in a “cross-over” format, i.e., each topic will be presented duringa plenary session and be debated, before or afterwards, during an ask the expert session.
n LanguageThe official language is English. To insure optimal understanding all lectures and debates will bein English and be translated simultaneously. For this purpose headphones will be distributed atthe beginning of each session.
n DatesThe conference will start on Friday June 1 with a welcome lunch at 12h00 followed by thewelcome address and an opening lecture at 14h00 in the Plenary Session Room. The course willend on Sunday June 3 at 13h00.

Educational objectivesAs general practitioners (GPs) are the lead clinicians in primary care, the majorobjective of this postgraduate course is to update GPs during the academic plenarysessions on latest findings in cardiovascular medicine and to debate during thepractical ask the expert sessions most relevant applications for daily practice. Thefollowing primary academic and practical educational objectives have been defined:n to inform GPs about the latest scientific advances in the field of cardiology;n to focus on new and emerging interventional and medical therapies;n to assess and improve the clinical implications of primary and secondary prevention;n to debate the impact and management of cardiovascular risk factors;n to allow GPs meeting and discussing with international experts on (controversial)
issues, challenges, and special cases related to their daily practice.
