Terms & conditions: **All agents must complete a post-FAM survey upon returning from their trip and submit a blog/write up about their FAM experience to their Contiki Sales Managers, 2 weeks after the Europe FAM. Agents must participate in all included activities. Any accepted FAM participants that cancel 1 month prior to departure will be charged a $500 fee. Any agent that quits the travel industry within 6 months of returning from the FAM will pay a penalty back to Contiki of $500.

Day 1: LucerneWednesday, May 6th

Agents will arrive into Zurich airport. There will be 3 transfers available from the airport to the hotel: • 9:00 am • 12:30 pm • 4:15 pm

If agents are outside of these times, they will need to make their way to the hotel on their own. This evening dinner will be in a chalet-style inn in central Lucerne, where our hosts provide us with some authentic Swiss food. Alpine horns, cow bells and yodelling make for a unique evening. (D)

Day 2: LucerneThursday, May 7th

Get above the clouds with an excursion to Mt. Pilatus. You can see massive mountain ranges with a bird’s-eye view over this spectacular region. With covered wooden bridges, cobbled lanes and quaint buildings, Lucerne’s centre is perfect to explore on foot. Your trip manager will give you an orientation tour and then you will have time to stock up on lots of genuine Swiss chocolate! They will also can give you pointers on where to pick up the best-priced watches that Switzerland is so famous for. Later in the day enjoy a cruise on one of Europe’s most striking lakes, where stunning scenes of the Swiss Alps reflect back across the water. (B)

Day 3: Lucerne to VeniceFriday, May 8th

We take the St Gotthard Highway today which takes us past dramatic Alpine peaks and through the incredible engineering feat of the San Gotthard Tunnel, glimpse Lake Como and skirt around Milan before continuing onto the Italian wine region of Soave. Our journey continues to Verona town, known in Roman times as ‘Piccolo Roma’ or Little Rome this former jewel of the Roman Empire remains a sparkling gem in the crown that is Italy! Now it’s your chance to get romantic and stand under Juliet’s balcony immortalized in Shakespeare’s’ Romeo and Juliet. After dinner in Verona we continue our journey to Venice known as the “Il Serinissima”– the Serene one, Venice is packed with character, crammed with hidden lanes and linked by a network of canals. (B,D)

Day 4: VeniceSaturday, May 9th

This morning we will travel as the locals do on our private motorscafo across this magical lagoon into the heart of Venice. The Limestone Bridge of Sighs, the Gothic arches of the Doge’s Palace and the expanse of St. Mark’s Square (pigeons and all!) show off Venice’s unique beauty and way of life. Join our local guide on a walking tour where you can discover the labyrinth of interweaving lanes, waterways, palaces, piazza and markets. Take some time to explore the floating city and lose yourself in the backstreets. You’ll see historic monuments, hidden treasures and the Rialto market – a local favourite for food shopping. Maybe grab a table at one of the cities quaint Trattoria’s and eat some delicious Italian food al fresco. Cap off the day with a gondola ride & share this amazing experience with your friends – seeing Venice from on the water is unforgettable! (B)

Wind through the Bavarian Alps and Brenner Pass to a cute Austrian village in a region famous for adventure sports. With two nights in Contiki’s very own Austrian Gasthof (guest inn), there’s plenty of time for pulse-racing activities. Our resident crew will give you pointers on the best stuff to do in the region and make sure you get everything out of your time here. (B,D)

Day 6: HopfgartenMonday, May 11th

Day 7: Hopfgarten to MunichTuesday, May 12th

This morning there’s a chance to visit the Swarovski Crystal World Museum and pick up some of their world-famous crystal. Then we remember one of history’s darkest moments with a sobering stop at the Dachau concentration camp memorial. Learn more at the museum and walk through the remaining living quarters. Afterwards, travel back to the home of the world-famous Oktoberfest, Munich – a city that blends traditional Bavarian culture and modern lifestyle. Here you will get a chance for a bike tour and get off the beaten track and onto Munich’s back streets with our Local Guide. Then, explore the heart of Munich’s old town and head to Marienplatz. It’s the central gathering spot famous for the Glockenspiel – a Gothic clock, complete with 32 dancing figures and 43 chiming bells. Later today we visit one of the many Beerhalls in Munich for dinner, dancing and beer! (B,D)

Day 8: Departure DayWednesday, May 13th

Today there will be one morning transfer to Munich airport at 10 am.
