Eugene A. Cernan - The Last Man on the Moon

Georgia-based Peachstate Historical Consulting has nearly 20-years of expertise in cataloging, appraising, evaluating, and dealing in space artifacts originating from the pioneer American space program. Founder David Frohman began working with former astronaut Buzz Aldrin in 1997, and then subsequently began working with many ofther pioneer astronauts and their families as well.

David Frohman is also the author of "The Story of the First Lunar Bible", which may be read on-line at www.lunarbible.com .

For example, in 2009 Peachstate Historical Consulting became the official appraiser and cataloger of Eugene A. Cernans private collection of space artifacts. Cernan, in-turn, was the last man to walk on the Moon during Apollo 17 in 1972.

A former Navy pilot, Cernan first visited space as part of the Gemini 9 mission in 1966. He also participated in the 1969 Apollo 10 mission, which simulated a lunar landing. With his third space flight on Apollo 17 in 1972, Cernan finally had an opportunity to visit the surface of the moon. Cernan, the Apollo 17 commander, and his colleague Harrison Schmitt explored more than 22 miles in a lunar rover and collected important geologic samples from the moons surface.

Following his NASA career, Cernan became a motivational speaker and a TV commentator during space shuttle missions. He also coauthored a book about his life and career called The Last Man on the Moon.
